I have the 2818 Honda accord hybrid with adaptive cruise control. I drive with it all the time. It takes the stress out of driving. I also achieve better gas milage while I have it on. I will never buy another car with out it.

I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport. I love the damn thing. Didnt even know about the low speed option though. Not properly, anyway. I traded in a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring. I f-ing loved that car, the Honda is a better all around car, but the 6 was a better, funner drive. Think I will either get the civic type R, or Mazda 6 grand touring Turbo next. Had a Mazda CX9 GT but it was an 08. Better ones coming.

How? My UK Accord (2006 to 2008), the adaptive cruise doesn't work below approximately 20mph. How can I upgrade or modify it to bring the car to a complete halt and then resume again all by itself?

While driving my 2016 Civic EX the parking brake engaged. The car is still under warranty so I took it to the Honda service department where I bought it. The only way to get rid of this extremely dangerous problem was to get rid of the car so I traded it in on an Accord with a mechanical parking brake. Honda corporation as expected refused me compensation. Do not trust them.

If the vehicle is stopped by the cruise you cannot turn it off by stepping on the brake? Thats just nuts.

Doug N - yeah I questioned that as well. I guess since it’s already stopped, hitting brakes won’t do anything. Guess you have to click button at that point to cancel or hit accelerator first to start car in motion again, then brake to cancel.

If this cruise control feature brings the car to a stop, like at a red light with a car in front of you (it won't detect the red light of course), and you are stopped for more than 3 seconds first the feature that turns the engine off when idle and the brake pressed will turn off the engine. When the vehicle in front of you starts moving you have to hit the "res" button, the car will start back up and continue at the speed you had it at. Or you can press the gas instead which will turn off this feature if you had it on.

This is much more confusing and hard to use than Toyota/Lexus system

How so? We have a 2018 Accord and a 2018 Lexus IS350 sedan (Toyota Product) the Lexus IS Much harder to use AND the Lexus would NOT come to a Complete stop like the Honda, Big thumbs Down. 👎

Is it? I can't speak for their system, but I have a 2020 CR-V and this was pretty simple to use when I got the vehicle.
