I learnt of Asana today, I have been hired to be a PA for a very small business where most things I am the one doing by myself. Can I use Asana for self projects??
No reason why you can’t use Asana for self projects, at least you would be getting used to the software and you would gain some experience when you have something to work on that might involve multiple tasks/people...

I signed up for Asana´s "Basic" plan that says "Free forever" but now when I am using the App the App tells me it is a "30 days free Trial"?! What is going on?

Hi Annette, You can see all your projects on the left sidebar. However, you cannot view all projects and task in each project in one single view. Just click on the project and view your tasks with different viewing formats above the project. The free version is perfect for most small businesses. All the best!
@@StewartGauld any chance you have a video on this as I have had asana for three years and I didn’t realise how powerful it is. At the moment I have trainings all over the place with a lot of information but unfortunately I have not set it up well. Do you offer training and clean up on this?

Again, thanks for a wonderful tutorial. back to GTD - but what if I want to lists projects by PRIORITY. How do I do that. Some will be more important than others? Other project management tools have the ability to add tags which you can search on. Can Asana do this?
Hey mate How do I build my own template? For example every time I list a property for sale the set of tasks that are required are the same. I'd ideally like it if Asana could create a project and populate it with these tasks every time a property is listed. Is this possible with something like Zapier?
Hi Nathan, This is possible. You can simply use a template or start a project from scratch and set it up the way you like. You can work with Zapier and look at the options between your other viable software that you use to list the property and create a ZAP to Asana.
Kia ora from a fellow Kiwi business owner! I'm already using Asana as a member of a couple of client teams, and starting to look at using it for my own personal task/project management as well. Currently, I see my tasks for each of the teams I'm part of as a separate workspace under my account, and I need to toggle between them. Do you know if there's any kind of master view I can use to see all the tasks for all of my workspaces in the same view?
Kia ora Tanja, Great idea! We use this for personal notes and day to day tasks too. I dont think you can unless you open each project board up in seperate windows. I will have to look into this!
Tanja Gardner. I believe that you create your overall project (called TanjaOverall for example), then for each tasks in the other projects you tag them to TanjaOverall as well...
i am a graphic designer. I just need a software that I can upload my artwork to the Brand Managers. They will review the artwork and leave their feedback and send it back to me to revise. Do they have phone app?
I’ve joined a group that is basically using Asana as a task list. 30 things assigned to me at a time, and then changes or removed, with constant new notifications. It’s overwhelming. Important things and unimportant things get same visibility and priority/immediacy. How is that best managed?

Yes, absolutely. We use it for our project workflows. However, I personally think Trello is best suited for workflows. Feel free to check out our Trello tutorial.
@@StewartGauld Is that really an automated function in the free Trello? Would like to set timeframes for certain tasks with blackout times as well, and upon completion of individual tasks the project is automatically moved to next task in line...Any idea how that would work? Great videos!
In the beginning, you chose Pen and Paper notes... how do you change all that if you didn't choose it from the beginning? Not seeing the option in settings
Hi Rodney, That is just the layout structure, you can simply change your project layouts or templates. Are you trying to use a project template on an existing project?
I am just trying out with asana but then on the free trial version, i can't see an option to add a NEW TEAM? I was hoping you could help out with this?

Hey Stewart, I love your vids, thanks. Q - can you set up a master project that has all the tasks & detail required, then duplicate that master for each new project? I ask because I need to use the same list & tasks for new client projects (i.e. it's the same process for each client that spans over an 8 week period). I'd be working with multiple clients at different stages? Thanks
You should be able to go into the task and either add a percentage complete....or add tags which say (for example) not-started, in-progress, complete, on-hold etc....and select one of those..
