Good video on WordPress archives. People generally underestimate how important for SEO archive pages can be. You can really boost visitor numbers with well optimised archive pages.

After intense research, this is literally the best video I've come across on categories and tags. You've explained this so well. Thank you for that. One question I do have, for a travel blog, you could end up with serval categories. I.e. each country you write about could have a number of blog posts creating a category for each country. After watching this video, this doesn't seem like the way to go about it. How do you go about limiting the categories in this instance? Thank you.

Originally I was thinking to tag the desired post as "featured" and set my widget to only display the featured post, then switch the tag to another post over time. Since I use elementor pro, I don't know how else to do this, you mentioned it's not good to have orphaned tags but does it work in this case? And does switching tags in posts destruct the site structure or are tag switching okay? Please let me know I would really appreciate your help! Thank you

How can it go for categories; Bachelor of Science (BSc), Masters of Science (MSc) and PhD since you said it's not go to make one post in more than one categories. Categories are curation of post excerpts ...So Would you Noindex,follow the categories or index it. Does Noindex ,follow pass the link juice to each single posts.... Since most of the backlinks are to the homepage and link juice passes from the home page to the category page ( via navigation/menu links) , is it a good idea to noindex the category.

Why aren’t tags useful as navigation?

I developed a pharmaceutical site that basically violates all of your rules, and it should be that way. For example I do have categories with only one post... but it has to be that way bc we're sorting based of therapeutical effect, I can't sort it any other way based on my liking for simplicity. So there will always be exceptions, the key here is to know where and how to apply those exceptions.
