If you have an iPhone and your mom an android, you can download the Duo app and video talk through there instead of going through the whole hassle of inviting and linking, etc. Duo has very good call and image quality, most times better than FaceTime

She thinks it’s an iPhone. Samsung is a cruel company and did this back in 2009.

And btw, probably no one cares, but I think for most people, the reason they choose the iPhone firstly is as an imaginary 'status' symbol. Which is just silly. Not saying it's a bad phone. Neither is Android. But with Android, you can at Least move for more Privacy options, and in My book, that's the most Critical! I own a completely de-googled Android even.. There's Zero privacy with Apple 😕

Those apps where in response to Facetime and none of them are integrated into the OS on the phone and in laptop operating system. Not saying one or the other is better but it just is what it is. So yea, because all IOS users have it with near 0 version fragmentation . It is a good thing to enable android users.

set skype on it or some other app, works great with all, windows , linux . mac . android , IPhones etc. even phone numbers house phones but to call to numbers you need set some cash on it, but than you can make phone call all over the world to any phone number for like .2 cents, I do have Facetime but I actual never had used it

They’re not really missing anything, Android has come a long way, especially Samsung. I regret going to IPhone, but that might just be me 🤷‍♀️

@@Ayaana7636 I have found that it’s really a matter of personal preference. I started with android (many 🌙s ago) and went to iPhone couple years ago and I regret the switch. Android/Samsung’s can be personalized very well and easily and I haven’t found that to be the same with iPhone; maybe I just haven’t learned how to do it.

@@MamaN-hw7ns iphone is for people who just want basic phones and can't do much customization/changes. They just wanna click and use.. also for people who wanna be forced to upgrade and be forced to learn new things (like when they got rid of the home button) Android is for people who love customizing and having full use of their device, as well as keeping things similar throughout the years. You can also get more life out of an android before you'd need to upgrade, even if it can't get the most recent updates But yes ultimately comes to preference. I feel like people mainly stay with iphone due to the iMessage and facetime features... otherwise apple is basically the same thing as an android, just with an apple logo, restrictions, forcing of things, and a price tag And if people think apple is more secure, that's a joke too. They've been sued recently for taking people's voices for Siri without people's knowledge. At least android tells you what's going on... Also anything you do gets sent through your carrier/WiFi and they can track you anyways so, iPhone isn't as secure as people claim Samsung has always had better performance, battery, features, etc and iPhone just copies them. Heck, Apple finally admitted this and is putting SAMSUNG displays in their newest iPhones 🤣
