How to use FallRim Tools - ReSaver (for fixing Fallout 4 Saves) 

As a mod author myself, everything I say is now law and you must perk your ears and accept everything I say henceforth as writ. If you're going to mod, remember 3 key aspects, I call "the xEdit cabal are a bunch of pretentious knob gobblers": 1.) if you use a mod, you accept the possibility that the elongated arm of an Eldritch monstrosity may extend from your kitchen sink in the dead of night and slither it's way into your bedroom to molest you while you slumber unawares. It's random assholes making random shit for your dip ass game, not officially funded and contractually obligated bodies that owe you jack fuck. Be respectful, ya cunt. 2.) if it broke, you probably broke it Just because a mod forks your game up something fierce, is the worst evidence to prove that the mod forks your shit up something fierce. Do your due diligence. Run the mod with ONLY vanilla content installed, and try to reproduce the problem consistently. 99% of the time a problem is because the mod is conflicting with another, or a crucial step was missed because you didn't 3.) RTFM there are detailed instructions in descriptions, readmes, and some mod authors aren't total shit bags and are willing to teach you, as long as you're willing to learn and have done the legwork and at least TRIED to read the instructions. If you don't, then you're just some lazy bunghole saying "id rather go fap to MLP can you just.. fix it for me?". We won't. Also, ew. (Unless it's rainbow dash. I'm sorry , bitch could get it) Mod authors are just random, Johnny q. Buttfuck making a thing in his or her spare time (and why her name is Johnny is beyond me, but hey 2024 I don't judge) so don't get all shitty, or jump to conclusions and cast stones without significantly checking yourself lest you wreck yourself. What's your specs? How many mods running?

@@RyboltTech i7, 10700. 32GB ram, not overclocked. 3.8ghz. 1tb SSD. RTX 3070. About 45 mods. Vortex blows. Redid my mods with MO2, and it seems easier to use. Move them around as needed. I followed GingasVR's Wabbajack order and put the stuff I liked (or small "any order" mods) and I was able to load my game and save with no delay at all. Something with Vortex, I think. Wacky. How about you? Thx!

Might be something spawning in dynamically causing a problem

@@RyboltTech it’s just bizarre and been aggravating. I tried resaver. The first file I tried it on still crashed but I was able to load it on the second attempt and every file since on my first try. I figured modded survival mode wasn’t possible with all the scripts running so I switched to very hard and it seems more stable. I have no idea what mod it could be if I start having issues again.

Check the AAF guide. It says not to do it way, by cleaning all unattached. It says to do the esp only. Also check the same guide for load order.

Nah, the best bet would be to use a cheat terminal / console commands in the game to change anything to your liking.

The only thing that changes with MO2 is where the save file is. The easiest way to find them is to open MO2, above the left window is a button that looks like an open file with an arrow showing it that it's opening. If you hover over the button it should show " Show Open Folders Menu" clicking on it brings up a drop-down menu click on the "open profiles folder" option. It will open up file explorer on the location of the current profile you are on, so be sure you're on the profile with the save you want to clean if you don't know what I'm talking about with profiles then it should not be an issue. Next, in file explorer you will see a folder named saves you should open it now you know where your saves are. You can copy the file path and use that to find your saves when you run Fallrim.
