I've now been wearing a hairpiece for over 2 years. So I think that moves me out of rookie into novice. Right? :) What I've found the most frustrating isn't because of the seller, but the buyer. As with most men who wear a hairpiece, "WE" can spot others within 100 yards from us. But, what I've found is, that most men who wear "densities" waaaaay outside their own density, it's more like a mile away! I'd love to hear from an expert like you Curtis, do a video on PROPER DENSITY and how to match gray percentage, knowing how to pick from 6" x 8" versus 8" x 10" etc to get the natural crown right, and front hair line that's been bleached and randomly stitched, etc... I think a LOT of men these days do their own system, and I sincerely APPLAUD that. But I think there is a major need for some more defined guidelines. It's not just hair color that makes the grade. If you have 60% density in your side hair and wear a 120% density top, it looks like a bald man wearing a Russian Ushanka fur cap! Most men over the age of 40 to 45 are less than 80% density! That's just a fact. Since I believe most hair piece sales are to men in their 40's, it would be interesting to note that the most popular density is 100% to 120%... So that just doesn't add up... As a business owner, small business coach, someone whose been in the business/marketing/sales world for over 35 years now, I am at a loss how these standards were created, when they go against the actual mainstream of reality. I look forward to seeing the comments on this. I'm wanting to find out where the "INFLUENCES" are coming from that drives this extra crazy and bizarre side of the hair market.... Chris

Hi Curtis . I find the best way to put the hair replacement on is to put the tapes around the piece and in the center ,with the front tape further back from the front border. Position the hair unit and when happy, tilt the front up and remove front tape. Push the front down and make sure it is secure, then flip the unit forward and down over your face and remove the other tapes. You can then flip the unit back pressing down and the unit should sit perfectly in the right place. The reason the front tape is set back from the front border is because I prefer to glue the front border so as not to leave a visible edge showing. I suggest thinning the hair with a scissors until one gets rid of that high thick bumpy look which is not natural to the human eye. A lttle hair oil gives it a shiny month old , not washed look, rather than the very dry springy effect All the best and keep the good products coming, Aiden, Copenhagen

Does it matter which side of the tape goes on your head vs your system? If not, would it be easier to apply the tape to the system first and then press onto your head?

My tape always turns white and gummy after 7 days or so, and I never sweat, and I'm trying to save the little bit of side hair I have but cleaning the gummy residue off takes a lot of hair with it grrrr so frustrating

Hi Curtis. I'm a little late to ask but have you experimented with Satin pillowcase covers vs. Silk? I know Satin doesn't breathe and is a synthetic fabric and Silk is natural. I want to know if you experienced, more, less, or equal amount of pulled hairs overnight. I'm in LA and considering. Everything's expensive in LA. I hope you get a chance to reply. Thanks a ton!

Are the sides of the tape different? I put the tape on the unit, then peeled it off, then put the unit on. The tape is gooey and sticky through the unit. Is it because I put the wrong side facing out?

Hey Curtis. Proud to say I'm that customer. This video was a big help. My issue was where to peel the tape in the middle and getting my thumb stuck to the glue. Major problem was also the angle to pull the label side off. Wish I would have known the against the grain reference sooner. Great to see you consider customer input. You're the man!!

Do you know something that no one has covered about these hair systems. Whether the piece should be wet dry or damp when you’re applying it. Most videos are very detail oriented including yours but you guys never specify whether it should be completely dry, wet, or if damp is OK

This really did help. In all honesty, I wasn’t sure which side went against the skin and which side went against the hair system. It’s interesting to find out the waxy side is the side the goes against the skin (obviously after it’s peeled off.) I’ve been doing it the opposite way this whole time.
