Horn is easily one of my favourite operators due to her unique range. As for her skill one despite it's obvious flaw that the illumination is near useless(lets hope we get a module to fix), the damage output is not to be neglected especially with its ease of use.
I honestly use it more than S3 in most cases. Obviously on CC maps or hard stages where i actually bother to think about timing, S3 will obviously be the best, but for general use s1 is just more convenient.
if u think horn s1 is not good u are not a horn enjoyer.. her s1 has great damage/great multiplier i.e. buff works great, much easier to use comoaring to other two skill (though possibly a lower celling) and the illumination niche is great if you work woth it. it can counter for example the swordman/shieldman combo in ch. 9 as well as other invis mob that come together with other mobs (which actually is more often than u might think) as well as dealing with enemies in this event where the illumination range can help you clear out some of the mobs (i.e. hitting someone that come in to the light -- illuminate around the area -- cleared out enemies that not revealed by light but illuminated by horn's flash). i also use horn to clear out middle two lanes of candle knight in nl-s-3 because when the charge the skill they are revealed. Even if when invis enemies spawning together, you can always use a fast redeploy to help horn fight her first target, and with s1m1 and above, it would be revealed forever most of the case depending on how enemies are spawning.. i find myself loving s1 and it is my go to skill to utilize horns big damage and unique range without thinking about my medic placement/stopping horn from bleeding herself to zero
Honestly I just find her stealth reveal a bonus than a main thing. Its consistent bonkers aoe damage at low SP cost. The sheer oomph it brinks basically screws anything that is below patriot and the bubble shields
i am loving this series. can we get How-to-Use on operators/archtypes that are rarely or more tricky to use? Duelist Defenders; Seige-Snipers; Stalkers; Carnelian; all supporters except slowers
THIS! Would love a focus on operators that don't get the spotlight. I started Arknights this year and was depressed when I pulled on Mudrock and SA banner only to get Gnosis. Did not realize the gem I had at the time, because so many channels focus on Mudrock, Silverash, etc. He is an awesome operator and has helped me in many stages.
Thanks for making these videos - I got super lucky and managed to pull both Horn and (two) Mudrock's recently, and these guides have helped me learn a lot about how best to use them.
My Horn is M6 and i use skill 1 90% of the time. As general rule if the map has enemies coming nonstop, S1 is a better choice, it's better to soften enemies health bar throughout the entire map taking of pressure off your other operators. Her s3 i use when i need to kill tougher enemies usually that aren't even moving yet.
I have my Horn M9'd. I would say I use all three skills about equally. S1 for AFK strats (like Annihilation maps), S2 for flexibility and if I end up using her in a more traditional lane-holding role, and S3 when I need everything over there to die really quickly. She's great fun, and her second-life talent makes her tankier than she would otherwise appear.
Heck yeah, it's nice seeing people appreciate Rita. She's pretty, has a great character, and a pretty powerful ground tank that can nuke enemies if the terrain enables ground units. Her upcoming skin looks stunning too!
I've been forgetting to comment, but I wanted to say that I LOVE the new concept of video you have! Keep.up the goodwork! I'm sure people will love it when they have proper introduction of an operator before pulling!
1 unmentioned Feature of Horn Skill 1 is that : Her S1 Round applies Flare first, then the damage (same mechanic like W skill) So it's make her can hit Stealth enemies without having her Flare effect first on range
Horn S1 is one of the strongest S1 in the game. She boasts a lot of damage, and its auto activation is very good for afk clear, you will hardly use S1 just by considering invisible enemies. She is also very good at SSS with guard +40% atk buff and vanguard +20% atk + 1 sp/3s buff. Is definitely worth the pull, but considering Texas Alter is coming in less than a month, pick your poison.
The power of her S2 is absolutely not hinging on timing the "nuke". What I often do is place Horn as a regular lane holder, facing backwards (so she doesnt do ranged attacks). Her HUGE AoE melee damage can easily outDPS Blaze or Mudrock, even if the uptime isn't 100%, which isn't always neccessary and you can cycle her skill easily since it can be manually deactivated. She deals a whopping 2900 physical damage per hit (E2-90, P1, S2M3), easily massacring enemies even with ridiculously high DEF.
I’m thinking of a crazy Defender setup. The most Frontliniest Frontline possible. Mudrock in front, Blemi behind her to heal Mud(just in case), Saria behind Blemi to heal her, and then Horn for the additional ranged firepower. Ashlock too, if possible. Just because I also like the Grey Squirrel
i believe you are underselling s1 and s2 s2 can attack multiple blocked enemies and it regarded as her general use skill, but i want to focuse more on s1 it has: -outstanding damage -very good uptime -charges -bigger aoe -invis reveal i firmly believe that invis reveal should be treated as something on top of the already huge damage the skill offers, and the fact that it's very very easy to use, especially for general use. You mentioned that s1 was not very helpful for the last enemy of sn-9 when more than half of its' hp was downed by just 2 horn shots
She’s great for a lane that needs a bit more DPS for some ergates, or spiders. She can be way far from the lane and just passively and safely provide damage
I just found out today in the new annihilation stage 21 that Ines with her Visibility effect works well with Horn S1 to keep large group of invisible enemies spotted and damage them with AOE. Ines can reveal them and her sword can even keep them spotted. works well with Horn S1 to keep even larger area visible
One of the things I've been doing is using my f2p alts more. They don't have the operators my main has and so I'm forced to use what I have. Horn was one of the first 6* I E2d for an account and it was challenging at first. I've started to use her a lot more recently because again, my options are limited. So this video is incredibly well timed.
I have my m9 lvl maxed horn and i can say that the skill that i use the most for non boss stages is s1. I love auto skills xD and she works well with ptilopsis module 3 but not with blemishine :(
As always very informative video showcasing a potential for an ops that are considered aren't really versatile or as we can say "niche". A lil bit of a feedback, i somehow enjoyed more ops showcase that has been edited by Pepp but it's a bit of a subjective takes doe. And uhhh, mebbe try to cover or showcase an ops that are rarely used from 1 Star Rarity to 5 Star Rarity since 6 Star option is considered to be a luxury choice.
A few things worth noting: - S1 has expanded AoE range, meaning that it will almost always hit at least 2-3 enemies or more, compared to the standard splash radius of 1.1 that often misses - Although you mentioned safety from distance, the key point with Horn's range is *Uniqueness* and *Distance* Uniqueness means that Horn has almost no competition for her specific ground tiles, and distance means many tiles normally unused are now viable.
Great video! At 2:36, you mention that when Horn's skill is active, she is able to attack all enemies - which is not quite true. This only applies to her S2 which you showcased there. Not sure if you mentioned this anywhere else in the video, if I didn't catch it then my bad
I play ashlock, toddyfons, rosa, erato and now horn too. Boy she will be a good adition. Also little niche that you can use with her s1. You can increase the range of horn's s1 with pushers once the projecrile is flying, usually the most eficient one is wild mane, this plus the extra reveal range is very nice in stages that have the kazmiers darkness or if you using goldenglow for global range and the enemy is hidden beyond "normal" range
When horn released, i went 60 pulls to get her and got spooked by Saria. On dorothys banner, i dropped a 10 pull thinking "If Dorothy comes, good, if she does not, it is what it is", and Horn spooked me lmao. Shes been almost every stage since. Instant E2 Lv90 S3M3 for her. Very strong, very fun to use, very cute chibi. 10/10 would recommend and even say she is a must pull for anyone looking for an OP to make their life easier.
Glad I managed to get her after R Nearl. Loved her in the story and her kit is great. I like to combine her with Fleameta but you need a babysit healer for her.
The only downside of fortress defender is high DP but no higher than Enmity defender and Duelist making agro goes wild if deployed last. If there is module for them that makes less targetable
What was there to complain about tho? Horn is a tank that supports in the back ranks extremely well. Has splash and dmg. On top of that, will have increased def and aspd when first defeated/retreated/killed. Also a very gd counter measure to swarm leaks since she has 3 block but I digress, though at that time you should already have a decent amount of ops set on the field
@@MrPP. People complained about 3 main things. 1. "needing to die to do more damage sucks" which is a terrible argument, because that talent is a bonus, not a must. Without the talent her total physical damage should alr be close to Eyja s3 arts damage for example, but nobody complains about eyja needing a similar talent to be good. Dps numbers are crazy as is, so really not sure what people are smoking when they say you need the talent. 2. "oh if she has to block she will lose all her aoe dps, this makes her hard to use and therefore bad" Another argument that is mediocre at best, the solution is simple, place someone next to her to block stuff instead or place her where enemies don't go. Both are incredibly easy to do. Then there is also s2 if you really need it. 3. "oh her weird range is annoying, that makes it hard to use and bad" Which is a laughable statement, because basically anyone can tell you that her range is her greatest strength, being able to hit annoying stuff that nobody else can, and it really is as simple to use as any other range.
@@Khroniclas said weird range actually make her even more fun and usable. You have to be creative in where to place her. It's not like "oh she's a defender? I'll just place her infront of an enemy. " and that's why i love her. It's because shee has something unique to her archetype which we can use to create more whacky strats with. Imagine combining her s3 with kal and mon3ter s3, horn and ling's dragons, with ifrit etc. The possibilities are endless and i can continue to ramble about why she's that good with other ops. And i also like the fact that she needs to sacrifice her first life to become stronger. Not only that but her gains are more then her losses, sure you can say 50% of her max hp is gone but who cares? She is in the back rank dealing dmg and if enemies manage to slip by, you might need to brush up on the guards and defenders you're using.
@@Khroniclas i also dare say that many say she's bad because she's new and no one tried her yet. I for one had no opinions of her at first. She didn't interest me enough into getting her but I didn't dislike the idea of her either. But I got her from when I was pulling for spalter or gavialter (forgive me for i have a hazy memory but i believe the latter is when i got her), so i decided to work with what i got. And boi let me tell you was it worthwhile. She is a killing machine meant to take out both swarms and mid def enemies, so long as she stays tuckered somewhere "safe", it's where she trully shines
Planning to get Horn in the future, so this video is definitely helpful! I have Ashlock so I thought I knew how to use a Fortress... haaaahhh was I wrong. The thing that confused me the most about her were her skills and which ones to use at any given moment, so whenever I got her as a temp in IS2 I could never use her to her full potential.
Horn's S1 simply need someone to block the invisible-guy a bit, so she can throw the light.. I think it has very good DPS (damage per seconds)? S3 needed heal-after-overload, quite a task if you need healer early
Regarding S1, what if you use an operator to block and atleast one invisible enemy temporarily so that Horn can use her skill? I could see it working if you have a fast-redeploy or Bagpipe.
I m9ed my Horn and I pretty much only use her skill 2, it's a bullet skill so no waste in terms of damage, it has extremely quick rotation, good synergy with buffs, makes her actually not dogshit when blocking ennemies and it does enough damage for a defender operator, the problem I have with her skill 3 is that she wastes a lot of her uptime by either missing the enemy because they leave her range or actually killing them way too fast if she's well positioned
Me doing CC#9 risk 30 without proc'ing Horn's talent cuz of that one art that shows her collapsing after battle. I only let her use it on hard / extreme mode stages.
Nice video Kukki. But at the end of the day, nobody is gonna use Horn's Skill 1. Because soon, Totter is gonna be released in the bearing and sparks banner, along with Stainless and Paprika.
Can you do a showcase of the new operater stainless bc his 3 skill fix alot of operators for example horn 1 skill she need to shoot to reveal the invisible enemies + the sp charge
Stainless is more a jack of all, master of none style op. He has more potential synergies than any other operator, but at the same time very few synergies create enough value to justify Stainless over someone else in terms of practicality. If you want a fun op then he’s one of the best choices, but he isn’t someone to pull for meta/account strength reasons.
@@caster269 yes I know stainless is a operater for the end game players his useless for the beginners but his really helpful like he fix blemishine 1 skill , makes thorn and erene charge the skill faster heals la pluma ...
