I use onX offroad all the time. It works pretty well for me with Apple CarPlay. I would like to see more features added to the system to make it closer in functionality to the iPhone. For example. I can Now drop a way point but I can’t name it or choose a different icon. Things like that would be so useful. Thanks for your continued work on this project.

Nice Video. Too bad it doesn't work that way. At least, for me, I can get a display to show up on the dash (Android Auto), but it won't track. Ever. I don't use it. It would just get me lost with missed turns. My only other tracking software is Google Maps, and it works flawlessly.

Please note that while your highlighted routes show In-Dash and you are able to turn the Go Track feature on, we do not currently have turn-by-turn navigation so it unfortunately is not going to tell you what turns to take. Has the in dash android auto compatability been upgraded lately. A lot of features like routes don't show

We continually work to upgrade App features, so you might have to update your app. You do also have to have at least Premium to use In-Dash or an Elite account to see our more robust app features like Route Builder. Hmmm that's crazy mine doesn't look like that at all. 2021 ram warlock with android auto. And it doesn't show any of that extra stuff like campgrounds and stuff. All those little icons you had. I can set a route on my phone and then watch it pretty much mirror it to the truck screen but it doesn't give me any options to do anything. like you cant click on anything either

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with Android Auto. The little icons that Talon shares in this video are Waypoints that he directly added to his maps. Waypoints are a way to customize your maps and add markers along the way, they do not automatically appear. If you are having issues with the functionality, you should be able to submit a ticket right in the app. Otherwise I would encourage you to reach out to our team directly at help@onxmaps.com. They should be able to help you troubleshoot any issues and figure out what is going on. You may also need to update your app as a lot of these features are newer.

I’ve downloaded the whole state of Arizona. The preloaded trails do not show up on car play in my tundra when I don’t have signal. Do you know of a fix for that?

Using Android Auto in our Jeep, large chucks of the map get blurred and don't show detail. Occasionally the screen goes black. This occurs in both back country and along state highways through National Forest. When it works, it's great. Losing clarity is frustrating. Also, I have the Elite version but the property information is no longer shown.

How can you use On X in a Polaris General equipped with ride command ?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately that is not possible as Ride Command is Polaris' own software. If you wish to use onX Offroad, we recommend implementing a tablet/ipad/phone with a mount.

When can we get the option to just download whole states instead of having to make a bunch of offline areas by hand to download which can be quite tedious, monotonous, and a massive pain to manage after having a bunch of offline areas saved? Not to mention it is just a massive time sink after the fact of already having spent time route planning. We used to have this ability on GPS units and pocket PCs to just download whole states and regions with a couple taps on a Dell Axim and Nokia 810, respectively, which is 20+ year old technology and now that storage limits are no longer a thing in 202X, it somehow has become a lost art to just download whole states as everyone seems to have followed Google's footsteps in their butchered implementation of 'offline areas'.

The in-dash feature for my Android auto simply does not work as advertised. The route even if available offline at highest resolution shows up blurry. When tracking a route the direction of travel is random and does not look forward. I'm canceling my membership altogether and going back to using backcountry navigator app.

The Go Track feature is intended to track the route you are traveling, as if you are creating your own route. It is not intended to be a line that you follow. If you are having issues with the functionality of the Go Track feature, you should be able to submit a ticket right in the app. Or you can reach out to our team at the email above.

It isn't all peaches and cream on Apple Car Play either... IF I can get the maps to display, there is a serious lag between the Carplay display and the app. Frequently the Carplay display goes unfocused for several seconds to infinity and beyond. @@onXOffroad

New Sync4 (Ford F150) user and for the life of me I can't find the OnX application icon navigating the in-dash display. I have the Elite OffRoad subscription. Where am I going wrong? Thank you. Use case is when you have cell coverage and no offline maps saved (at the moment). My Samsung S22 Ultra is synched via Android Auto and I use the Google Maps navigation all the time. I am not seeing the OnX application icon.

Found it. Lower left corner when on the Android Auto (view/tab) there is a menu button to then browse/select apps. The actual Apps view/tab doesn't get you there....btw. ;)

Mine is the same I can't do any of the extra stuff. All I can do is have it pretty follow me to make sure I'm heading the right way. Or I can set it on my phone and mirror it that way to a location. But none of the other stuff he showed

My USB port is already being used for my music, which is the priority for me. Can I hook it up using the bluetooth pairing? I am considering the purchase of a small tablet of some sort (NOT a POS apple product) for this, is there a recommendation? I have a 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2, are there any screen issues as outlined below?. Thanks!
