How to Use JDAMs - Battlefield 4 Jet Tutorial/Tips

LOL! These tips are great because I literally got in a game while I was watching this video and I use these tips and I got a jet fighter ribbon only with the J-DAM bombs within 30 seconds of the match! Thanks Ghost!

I'm a really good pilot in the game I like Jdams more cause they give me more of an adrenaline rush I don't know why.

man that air was EMPTY, every time I'M in a jet I'm getting shot down by locking missiles from 5 different directions, including from mobile AA

Pretty badass that you can consistently make these hits dude. Knowing when to fire or not still very skilled

Remove "improve your game" from your channel name...... it just feels cleaner that way.

The JDAM explosion is so weak.

This is the crappiest jet weapon in the game. Soon as you switch to it you loose 90% visibility for some giant radar on your screen that doesn't even show you spotted targets. It's just a still picture of the MAP. Like what where they thinking. Real JDAM's aren't launched like this where the pilot risks crashing into the ground every time they use one. Poor game design is what makes this weapon suck. You can't even use it like a real JDAM you have to get 3feet from your target and drop them.This is probably easier to get kills with on PC because there's more players on a map to spam it at but on console you'd be lucky to hit anyone. Mostly people just spam it till they screw up and hit a building or a tower and crash. This game really needed an actual A-10 Pilot to help them design the game play for these jets. These are high tech guided bombs but you have to drop them on enemies like it's 1942 and your bombing Norway.

This was great advice 1st on Golmud is a breeze

At first i couldnt even get ribbons for the ucav which is why i started jets but after watching your videos im going 45-1 and scores like that really helpfull content

I unlocked my jdams yesterday, and I think my strat will be to get some hight since I will need it since I’m not the best at attack jets, come down on armor, 30 mil them, and them drop a jdam before I pull up so I don’t have to move it to make it a hit.

Ik I'm late but let's see the ww1 and ww2 bombers, how they do? They do the same move this guy explains and the bombs were successfully hitting. It's just matter of thinking

I've been doing that same method in dropping JDAMs as you. Nice to know why you use JDAM.

How come the AA is not harassing you?

The only problem I've found with JDAM's is if you are diving that low for a bomb drop. Make sure nothing with active radar can hit you because you cant recover that low form a hit

70% of time when i go into the air whit attack jet, there will be the enemy jets teaming up on me and the stelth jet has heatseekers or some sort. so i just get mobillized and finished out by attack jet and have no chanse at all taking them both out.

Definitely your method is the most effective, I have tried both methods (before I found this video) and in hardcore the JDAM screen is like a mini-map so its a great spotting tool as well as devastating when it hits. I didn't know there was such a long delay, from launch to impact, and it would be better if BF allowed you to look further back (not just to see bomb impact but also in dogfights) even in core I fly cockpit, I just seem to crash more when in 3rd person. The JDAM is really good against infantry like you said and it is the most gratify kill in the game you actually feel like an attacker aircraft.

Having played a decent amount of 1943 I've been really looking forward to unlocking JDAMs. I was surprised to hear you mention the other method (high drop) as the commonly used one. I would've thought this (the finisher) was the standard approach; it just makes the most sense. It's the same potential burst damage with considerably less planning, fly time, and chance of failure. And having played 1943 it's kind of the go to for me anyway, since there's no fancy reticle for those GPs. XD

Great tutorial but Diving down that low is incredibly risky with the MAA tank's Active Radar. At least with pods you don't go too low and gives you enough turning time to run away after you ECM off.
