40 years ago in LA while going to photography school this was my set up in my studio apartment. Very nostalgic to see this clip. All I had was a Nikon FM, Vivitar 283, Larsen umbrella with a brick background. I was able to get some great shots, which goes to show what you can do with minimal equipment. Your produce some nice videos. By the way, I left Scotch Plains 40 years ago and moved to SoCal to become a photographer. Cheers to you and to all that watch your great channel.
Well done. It takes the scare out of manual flash. Whether or not you have TTL metering evaluable to you it’s comforting to learn the consistency of manual.
Thanks for Sharing. Maybe I might of missed something but I don't believe you spoke on the flash sync speed. On the meter it says 125th, please explain why or what are there alternatives, thanks.
In this instance we are not considering the effect of the ambient light -- so the specific shutter speed setting on the light meter won't affect the final reading.
