I really like it and I'm still learning more about it as I use it. I used to have a Z2 but I just couldn't get used to Traktor and using it with my SL1 box was quickly becoming a non-option for me.
@@logisticalstyles nice! I was doing the same exact thing and using my SL box with the z2, I I didn't want to make a switch and good thing I didn't lol. Thanks for the feedback!
Do you know how i can record FX from the deck line ?? In ableton i select 7/8 for my left deck and i manage to record the sound but to record the FXs i need to select 5/6 who is the master of the mixer.
Hey I been djing since 1980 and dropped out in late 90s I'm from the technics 1200, 1600 & 1800 euri mixer etc. Etc etc. I been away for a minute but I want a good quality set up, I know you need your laptop for your collection, what do you recommend for a nice room setup, I'm familiar with serato but don't know a good mixer or controller. I like the heath equipment
I think it really depends on what you plan on doing as far as gigs. If you are going to do a lot of bar/restaurant gigs then a controller might be what you need. If you are just going to DJ at home for personal enjoyment then I would focus on a good Serato enabled mixer along with a decent pair of turntables. From there it really depends on your budget. You can get a decent mixer with the Numark Scratch, or you can go high end with the Rane Seventy Two or Seventy. There are even more options to consider beyond that but it would be a lot to type out. I think you just gave me the topic for my next video.
@@logisticalstyles well I was looking at the pioneer KDJ-XZ cause I'm into the afro house beats, and my Philly sound classics, so I want that club sound and quality echo, I'm done with the mobile biz, I'm more into mixing for a radio station and do my work at home, being that I have been djing from back in the 80s when it was harder, I remember editing on my teac reels and taping bits of tape all over the wall, and now the technology makes it easier to edit, which is looping, but back to what I'm asking you, I don't want turntables, I like those little turntables on the controllers. So what your saying is a controller the laptop, question ❓❓ no amps needed,
@@logisticalstyles oh one more thing I notice this little box that ron trent and a few other djs like timmy regisford use, and it echos the music in a slow delay, its small like 10 inches withe and maybe 6 inches upright, I remember doing that effect but i would have to manipulate the bpms., I know I'm asking a lot, but you seem to know your equipment, especially this new technology that I lost touch with.
