Hmm, I wanted to do a lifecast and make a mold, and then pour silicone into it... so I may not have bought the right thing. ...but I bought two things, so hopefully one was right. Hmm... the other was Ecoflex. So I'm pretty sure I would have to sculpt, or buy something else to lifecast.

Thank you very much. You made this look much easier than some of the vids I have seen. I wanted to know would it be better to use release 200 or something so the rebound will seperate from the mask?

Nice video. Do you know of a DIY way to thicken the rebound? I've ordered thi-vex, but I'm curious if cornstarch or something would work to thicken it up?

Thanks! I actually have never used a thickener, although if you let it sit a bit, it will start to thicken on its own. You'll just have to work quickly after that!

@@PlexiCosplay I'm in Colorado and the room I'm in is pretty chilly so I actually warmed up the silicone and that really helped it thicken up. It worked perfectly! Thanks for responding.

This tutorial is amazing and very helpful! 🤩 one question, though. How did you make the green mask cast? 3D print?

Thanks so much! I printed this on an Anycubic Photon Mono X resin printer :) You can do this with any printer, but you'll want to make sure the final print is sanded and perfect, because the mold will pick up ALL imperfections.

@@PlexiCosplay that’s great to know! 😀Also, what program did you use to make the design? I’m currently trying to make a Warframe operator Zenoriu mask, and I think it would be a lot easier if I could make a digital render of it and then 3D print it

I purchased this one on Etsy! www.etsy.com/listing/967773985/sub-zero-new-mask-mortal-kombat-movie?ref=yr_purchases I use Zbrush to make my files and I use Lychee for my slicer program. Zbrush is expensive, so I'd recommend a free program like Blender or Tinkercad if you're starting out, but I don't think you'll get as many options as you will with Zbrush.
