Nice job man! I like the compact nature of that slider, as you already know, hauling a pile of equipment into a wedding situation isn't always convenient and you don't want to really "stand out" all great tips. I found you while researching video sliders! Thumbs up!

Wedding Film School Hi Craig, thanks for the nice comment. Topic ... Humm. Here's sth for you: The hot thing these days is dynamic range. Some people think you need RAW and the 12-13 bits of the blackmagic stuff and others consider that the GH4 has all it needs with the cine D flat profile. I would make a real world topic where you show how exposing is essential to save the blacks or high lights depending on what you are doing, and how a flat profile versus a video one can save your day, when you want the best grading you can achieve. This is an opened topic. Don't know how you can do that, but I'm sure you can do it perfect. You're the man. Also, I'm right now hesitating about my next purchase. I hesitate between bmpcc and GH4 because of 4K for the second and HDR for the first. I thought NAB 2015 would bring a bmpcc 2.0 with a 4K sensor or 11 bits internal to the GH4, and ... nothing just the BM micro stuff that don't allow 4K in the machine (the 4K micro needs external recorder and I'm not even sure it does more than 10 bits). See ... Here's a comment and a topic to cover man! DYNAMIC RANGE, how to compete with a 4:2:0 machine with a bmpcc. I like your style with real technical insight and no theoretical blabla.

Fantastic review. And I so agree with you when your'e talking about overusing slidershots, it's just become very annoying and like you're trying too hard. I guess you can say that about every kind of effects or equippment. Because you own a drone, it doesn't mean every shot should be aerial. Thanks for a good review with important tips :-)

You ever 'dolly-in' with the slider and then scale adjust in post (assuming you've shot in 4k and are editing in 1080) from like 65% to 50%? It's the 'horror movie move' but I find with small slides/scale adjusts that it's just a really subtle move, not 'uneasy' as in the horror flicks.

I have a Manfrotto MVH500AH Lightweight Fluid Video Head - which I use with my slider. However, am interested in getting a quick release plate system so that I can switch to my Flycam c5 so that I don't have to re-balance the stabilizer. I know the Manfrotto fluid head is rather small in size and when buying a quick release plate; is important to check whether the sizes are compatible? Thanks
