Excellent video as always! Something I get asked a lot is how to rename a tag or fix a spelling mistake in a tag. You can do this by clicking on the top right corner three dot menu and selecting edit. Then click on the tag you want to rename and edit it however you want. This works well for renaming tags to include subcategories after the fact.
I find myself wishing that you would do some videos for non-tech natives on Word, Excel and Power Point. I’ve watched A LOT of videos about it but am still baffled by some things. Your way of teaching is relaxing and comprehensive. Part of it is your awesome cursor “arrow”. I can see it quickly so I catch where you’re clicking.
Thank you! I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Is there a difference between tags and notebooks? I can’t find any differences. It used to be that you couldn’t add comments to tags, but now you can. By the way, that would be one good thing to add to this video, being able to add your own thoughts about something you’ve tagged is my favorite feature in tags.
That’s a great question! The main difference I can see between tags and notebooks is notebooks allows you to add personal thoughts that are not connected to any other church content. When you go to the Home Screen, then tags, and click on a tag, there is no blue plus button in the bottom right corner to add personal thoughts. However when you open a notebook, there is a plus button to add personal thoughts. You can still add notes to a specific piece of content you have tagged, as you mentioned. But it won’t be a stand alone note.
@@gospelmomtech do you have plans to make any more of these videos? You do a great job. I work with early morning teachers in Minnesota and I would like to point them to your videos. As the teachers become more familiar with gospel library they’ll in turn be able to show the youth the power behind this gift from God. I started making videos for the teachers and then stumbled on your collection. I’m just wondering if there’s anything else you plan to record so I know whether or not I need to do it.
Thanks so much! I totally agree with you that as teachers become familiar they will show the youth. We are blessed with such powerful tools these days! As far as future videos, I have one more for the gospel library that shows how I study my scriptures digitally (using an ipad). Also, if new features come out, I will add videos. Soon though, I will be shifting to videos on Family Search and other church apps. Or any other videos people request.
