Sounds like you are editing the actual template file. I’ve made this mistake before 😉 Make sure you never edit the Template file itself, always edit the new note once the template has been applied. The trick is to have a blank template in your templates folder, then apply it to a new note by 1) pointing your Templates plugin at your templates folder, 2) opening a new note (not the template file but something else), then 3) using the Command Palette (Command-P on Mac) and selecting “Insert Template” and choosing the one you want from the list. Apologies if that’s not actually what’s going on. But if you never edit the Template file, new info should never be added back to it.

You should have received a confirmation email after you signed your for the starter vault that takes you to that (maybe check your spam folder).
