I have been a MPC live user for about 4 yrs now and I still come to the MPC tutorials on RU-vid because I love producer based content and there is always something new to pick up on.. This was a great refresher for me. Very easy to fallow, strait to the point, and hit all the basses. Good motivator for me to start banging one out.
Very clear and helpful presentation. One thing to note: you don't have to keep resetting the play head before recording - you can just hit Rec and then Play Start (instead of Play). It will start recording from the very beginning (after the count in).
Just got that today. Getting an SD card for it next week. Until then, I'll be in control mode. Before this, I used the Touch. My newer Mac won't see it. Perfect opportunity to grab the first standalone model I've owned since the original 2000. Great video. Very encouraging
Awesome video! Thank you. I just purchased the MPC One + and am trying to research it before using it. Would you say its best to save all of the different sounds into your favorites before starting to make a beat?
I have to wait for all the splice sounds to download takes forever especially if you have samples that are over 2000 + what should I do to avoid samples to load ?
love my mpc 2000xl, this workflow feels very familiar and complementary yet rudimentary and stiff, this new machines does not win from old workflow, akai needs to rethink it
I bought a new MPC One+ and now am using it for 1 week. Is it normal that the 16 pads do not react all the same to fingerdrumming ? Sometimes they even dont register a hit. It is annoying when trying to compose a song. Thinking about returning this new MPC One+. Anyhow, your video is good and easy to understand.
I love my MPC One + but I honestly do not like how splice works in it Form synchronizing everything I have purchased on slice to how the Folgers are split up. They should just exclude it if it’s not functioning like the app
why does the splice bridge not appear in the Akai MPC 2 software? I never managed to load Splice bridge on a midi channel in MPC 2 software, Am I doing something wrong? or cannot load Splice bridge in MPC 2 software? Thank you in advance.
Hi there! As of now Splice Bridge isn't supported in the MPC 2 software, however a workaround is loading up MPC 2 in a free DAW like reaper and loading bridge onto a MIDI track alongside with MPC 2. Sorry for any inconvenience!
