I just bought this one, waiting at the door like "were my pakegeee" That filament looks awesome, I bought some regular black stuff from elegoo and then some other stuff from a different grand that is gold and purple. Can't wait to try it out.

newbie to 3d printing but i've been running into a stringing problem after using this printer. my first attempt was because of the temperature, after changing that the print was starting to come along nicely. but on that second print but eventually began to string up again, it might be because i was using multiple models in the print, or it could be because of their scale. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Excellent video really helped, thank you. Could you please help with one aspect I am still struggling with, namely retraction setting I'm getting a lot of stringing when I print 2 or more models having not used a direct drive printer before I do not know what length of retraction or the speed to set in the slicer. Thank you also subscribed to your channel.

I have Neptune 3 Pro and version Cura 5.5.0 How did you save your STL file on the SD card. I have window 10. The SD card does not appear in file explorer..! When I try to save, it always goes to file explorer of my PC and there is no SD card option. I also have an issue before printing that the temperature always defaults to 200 and 70. I usually use for PLA 225 and 65. Even if I change the temperature setting for PLA, it will ways go to 200/70 default. It does seem to keep my settings for PLA. Also I had a power failure printing and was not able to get the project to continue when power was returned. I lost a 13hr project.

So, I'm hitting an issue with my Neptune 3 max, all the axis work, the temp is fine, but no matter how many new hotends, or Proximity sensors I replace, the Homing fails on the Z, going up a little bit, and then a little bit more, I've bought a new hotend with new sensor, same problem, I've swapped with the hotend from the Neptune 3 plus, same problem, I'd replaced the Proximity Sensor from another defective 3 Max, same problem. It gives me the red light so the sensor works, until it needs to work. What is going on with this machine?

I purchased a used neptune 3 pro. I'm having issues with layer lines and supports damaging the print when I pull them off. Also the fan runs a little loud. Any ideas on how to fix my issues?

The filament detector is also useful for almost empty spools, when you don't know when you're going to run out of filament.

@@everythingSTEM Yeah. And remember the KP5L? The filament sensor was put on the side. It couldn't be disabled, so people were forced to either jam it with a piece of plastic or use the stupid filament holder.

@@RDUBTutorial I'd check what the manufacturer recommends - sometimes PLA+ recommends a higher nozzle temp. Haven't used that particular filament yet :)

Is it possible to run a UTP cable from pc to printer and not use micro SD?

You can use a USB cable. They include instructions on how to do it, but they say it is not recommended. If the computer goes to sleep or the screen saver comes on the print will fail. (This method has worked fine on my Lulzbot for years though).

Yes you can use TPU, PETG, ABS and PLA :)

but care with ABS its kinda hard (if not impossible) to perfectly print it without enclosure. Also can release CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances) which is kinda not nice

for some reason my pla refuse to stick to the platform if i dont put the platform at 65°C XD

Make sure your level is perfect. If that doesn’t help try adding some glue stick to the platform.

I cleaned my Nozzle and cleaned my gears. I leveled the bed and loaded the filament, but nothing is still coming out. Any Suggestions?

If no filament is coming out then your issue is likely with the loading process. Elegoo has good support if you reach out!
