Thanks for this video! I think it might me a little bit easier to understand with a few visual examples of pages. I think I have at least an idea of how to use this dictionary. A question I have is: There are a lot of meanings for each verb. I wonder whether these meanings only change through attaching different prepositions to the verb or does the verb itself change due to pre- or suffixes? Because I couldn't find any. The roman numbers there indicate only a new meaning and introduce a new preposition? or do they indicate a change in something else. Vowels not I suppose. I only know vaguely of a few changes under which a verb can go like attaching a shaddah or some kind of prefixes. How do I know from the dictionary how to change a verb to change the meaning?

Ok I think I just found out that I have to know all the patterns of the roman numbers from the introduction to be able to build the different meanings! Next time I take a look first and then ask ! :) I still leave this here in case anyones also wondering. It can be a little bit overwhelming.

السلام عليكم I'm a new Muslim and learning through madinah books would you recommend this book?

Wa'alaykum as-salaam. May Allah bless you and keep you steadfast upon the haqq. Yes, I would absolutely recommend this dictionary if you have long term goals in learning Arabic. How are you finding the Madinah books? Are you studying by yourself or with a teacher?

Arabic with Sam I did a course at the masjid but for now I'm studying by myself.... I'm just trying to memorize the vocabulary. I got up to lesson 11 in the masjid but I've restarted book1 . I'm very desperate to learn Arabic . The dictionary has a compact version and full version , would the compact version be sufficient because it's more affordable for me ? Thank you for responding. بارك الله فيك يا اخي

You can get the Hanswehr dictionary app on your phone Inshaa'Allah and it is free. My advise is to be patient and consistent upon learning Arabic. The Madinah books are written by some of the best of our time and they are taught to students who later have become the kibaar of our ummah in modern times so Inshaa'Allah you are in good hands. However, Arabic, like all fields of knowledge requires striving. Please reach out and ask if you would like me to clarify anything for you Inshaa'Allah. I really want to start doing daily videos so any ideas which you have which might help yourself and other Arabic students, I will happily do whatever I can to help Inshaa'Allah.
