Hi, thanks for the comment. The difference is that as a master tool operator you can save the backup file and the individual read files all in one process instead of having to read the backup first then individually reading all of the others after. It's a time saver and it also reduces the amount of time you spend connected to and communicating with the ECU.
@@ViezuTechnologies But that question was after you choose full backup read on video. After it read full backup, it ask save full backup, or save all. I though full backup is all?
The backup is all, but in a special "compressed" file ready to restore all of the elements of the ECU that it read if you require restoring it back to full original, or overwrite a bad or failed programming. When you select save all, it saves the special backup file and additionally it saves you the additional separate elements like e2prom and internal/external flash etc. If you choose just save backup only as a master then you need to read the other elements after. It's just best practice to press save all when taking the backup read.
Why is it that only ecus with a single connection on the circuit board are used in these videos. does mean you will not need to solder connections to the circuit bord on others
