My 92 SE came with one. It's long enough to air the tires on my trailer while it's connected to the hitch. Very useful

really apreciate these videos. Especially when sometimes working on this bike can seem overwhelming. I didnt even know the onboard compressor was for that. Tested it out on my 95 and wow, worked great!

Your videos are covered just about every single aspect of every component on the bike. However one video that really would work great for me in particular would be a video on what type of screws and bolts go on the bike and where. Like every single component on the bike that you take off and put on and then highlight what screws and nuts and fasteners go on it. One of your videos you highlighted the two screws that hold the side fairing vent deflector pieces I would have never known that if it hadn'tI would have never known that if it hadn't been for your video. Every time I watch one of your videos I go back to my table of fasteners and relabel stuff.in my particular situation is the small detail stuff like which screws go where that is the biggest hurdle in my project of putting all these parts back together and making a motorcycle out of them

You are not abnormal for that broham. Most of us , no matter what we already have would like to have more hose. LOL I learned something here actually, I have never fired up my air compressor without the bike running. I wonder how many people in all this time of goldwings on the road have ever fixed their ride on the side of the road then realized they drained their battery to far down to start her back up. LOL I have 75k on a fairly new to me 99 I have not got to run it far yet though because it's cold as can be up here still but I am making her pretty for spring time. :0) oh yeah and dancing w/ her around the neighborhood blaring lynard Skynard just for fun. LMAO

Not quite right. You need to have the key in the P position then press the Air Outlet button. That way the air doesn't go to the shock at all. Holding P.Check and Increase sends air to the shocks. There are electric valves that should keep the high tire pressure air from going to the shocks. That is if all the valves are still working.

Clifford, thanks for all the videos you have made. They have help a lot being a new owner. I have a 93 aspy. I do have a question. The previous owner put regular shocks on my trike. When i press the button to put pressure into shocks it does nothing obviously... having said that if the hoses to shocks are left undone is it still possible to air up tires. I have tried to get compressor to turn on like you did in video but i have no air coming out. I don't hear compressor either. I tried in acc and while running engine.

I just finished restoring a 1991 Goldwing GL1500 SE with the use of your videos, thanks! What do you recommend as a starting point for air pressure in the rear shock when riding: Rider only with gear? Rider + passenger with gear? Also, what tire pressure do you run front and rear? Thanks again for the great videos

Word to the wise, make sure when you take your tires to be changed at a non dealer shop they use the original valve stems or it will make the compressor hose useless!!! Found out the hard way!!

I have an 86 GL 1200. the last dream I have. John Lennon couldn't take me an inch further. its got some issues as age hits us all eventually. Ive been on a bike since 9 years old first was the honda 50. I dont want to lose this bike. when I was 10 my mom dated a guy had the same one and I was aghast with impression. I dont know what killed the goldwing. I have many years of sport bike under my belt. (Im not a hotshot) I feel the bike is to big for me at 5'9" 160 lbs and almost 50. I like looking at it, I've been failing to come to an agreement with self and bike as to what I should do.

Cliff, I'm a new subscriber and I'm looking to possibly purchase a 1984 Goldwing 1200. (48K miles) The guy says it has an air suspension system on it but he didn't know how it works. What year did they put compressors and operator controlled air suspension systems on Goldwings? And would that info be in the owners (service) manual?

Look on Facebook with the goldwing groups. You're most likely going to have to get aftermarket ones. Or buy a parts bike and have them painted to match your bike.

Just recently purchased a 99 1500 special edition that was completely torn apart because the guy wanted to repaint all the body work and then got scared he would never be able to put it back together again so it had been sitting in storage for 12 years touring completely apart and all the parts were in boxes and the fasteners were in a plastic container. Took all of the fasteners in the plastic container and laid them all out on a table and sorted them all out so I've got all these little piles of nuts and bolts and screws and brackets. I've been spending the last couple of weeks figuring out where all the parts go while fixing the mechanical sections of the motorcycle itself.the good thing is all the mechanical is easy to work on because the bike has no body work on it at all so everything is easy to get to at this point.I'm going to do all the service and rebuild the carburetors and fix every single nut and bolt on the bike itself before I even start putting body work back on. Your videos have been completely essential to helping me figure out where all the body work goes and how it goes back together. I've got several great shop manuals that help but they're not as detailed as your videos. Particularly your videos have helped isolate and identify the fasteners and what they are and where they go and which ones are extremely important. I've been watching all of your videos and every time I do I go back to my table of fasteners and relabel stuff because now I know exactly where they go.I must have taken the headlight off two or three different times because I kept using the wrong fasteners but now I think I've got it nailed down.you have no idea how incredibly helpful your videos are to help me with this million piece puzzle.

If you are taking requests Cliff, I would like to see a video on replacing the sub-air filters. There is a how-to but a video would be MUCH better. goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=11036 Have you checked the sub filters on your bike? I have a 94 SE I need to tear down and check before they turn to dust and plug stuff up.

Thats is incorrect you turn the front forks to the left and put the key switch in the fork lock position then move the key to park position then press the outlet button to air tires or front forks do not do what is shown in video
