Yes, but which acne cream do you want to use afterward? However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (air & water quality, washing detergent, etc), or your diet (such as consuming too much added sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance; like soy, milk, bread (gluten), eggs, chicken, etc).

These treatments are not working well for blackheads, so in that case, I would opt for extraction. However, if your skin is a bit oily, it may improve your enlarged pores. I mean, you should just test it to see if it brings you any benefits.

Well, there is nothing that can reduce your pores, as this is mostly determined by genetics. It's just their appearance that can be altered. If they are enlarged by too much oil production, using an SA product, Niacinamide, or retinol can help to "reduce" them, or let's say, make them less visible.

@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Год назад
Since you are Indian, you may be able to get the Cetaphil Oily Skin cleanser, which is a great cleanser to use beforehand. However, I do not generally recommend using a drying cleanser before the mask, as the mask itself can also be quite drying and lead to irritation or dryness over time. Another Indian brand with great products is 'Minimalist', but I have only tried their serums and SA cleanser, not their gentle cleansers. Nonetheless, I assume they have a good option for you.

Apply Hyaluronic Acid toner or serum or gel (e.g. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid or Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner or Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel). Wait for 1-2 minutes, then apply your favorite sunscreen (one that may be available in your area is COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream, but you can also just use an Indian brand. I don't know any except for The Minimalist, but I have not tried their sunscreens yet!). PM: Clean face with Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser. Pat dry with a clean towel. Well, you can focus on using products that can help balance your oiliness. Consider incorporating a good foaming cleanser or a cleanser containing salicylic acid (SA). You can follow this with a Niacinamide serum. On days/routine when you're not using the SA cleanser, you might want to use a Retinol or Retinoid product in the evening. It's important to note that these products can help slow down the recurrence of blackheads, but they might not entirely prevent them. Your skin is a living organ that is continuously working to hydrate, protect, and cleanse itself, so occasional blackheads may still appear despite your efforts.
