Excellent tutorial. Thanks! Here are a few tips and tricks not shown in the tutorial: - To add an icon, you don't have to search for the html and type it in. Just add a text layer then hit the grid-looking button on the layer-select area. You can see all the icons and select the icon you want. It automatically adds the html code for the icon. (My installation had all font-awesome icons available and one other set of icons) - To change fonts, you don't have to scroll thru the endless list, you simply type the first few characters of the font in the box, and only the matching fonts will appear in the drop-down - You can change the layer name labels to make them more readable. After creating the layer, just click on the layer name in the layer-select section and type a short name. (Especially useful for icons because the default name is the html code which is useless, esp if you have multiple icons) - To tweak the timing of each layer, you can drag the circled handles on each timing bar, rather than type the time values into the box. you can control start, fade in, stop, fade out this way, and you can also drag the entire bar to delay the layer. - The tutorial doesn't show how you can preview the slide animation before putting it on your website. There's a "play" button below the edit screen by the timing bars. You can run, pause, step thru the animation and tweak the timing before saving and viewing on your website. you can also preview all your slides together using the preview button at the top of the page. Thanks again for the excellent tutorial. It really helped me get up to speed quickly with this complex tool.

Awesome Tutorial! Only I am not able to use the icons. I followed all the steps mentioned. I can see the additional layer but nothing reflected on screen. I tried increasing size and chnaging color but no result. Can you help?

Great tutorial! I have one small problem though. When setting the layer animation timing I only get Frame Start & Duration, not Start TIme, End Time, and Start Speed End Speed.

It works if you open Notepad and then try to put the 2 codes together in there. After you did that, just copy paste the code in the html layer text.

you dont have to use the html code what you should do is go to add layer click on the object icon and you will find different in built icon you could use.

This is simply because the Quotation marks are wrong. Try adding the Quotation marks " " manually without copying. It will work :)

Great tutorial. I found that the “blank slate” Wordpress plugin works well if you want your slider page free of menus and titles. After you activate it, you just create a new page in Wordpress, insert the short code for the slider, and then choose the “blank slate” template instead of “default template” in the Page Attributes section.

Completely amazing tutorial. The best one I've ever seen by far and I have seen many. One thing I can't figure out, though, is how to prevent the cover image from flashing before the video plays. I am trying to have a 20 second clip play and the cover image shows before the clip starts and the original cover image from the video(different than the cover image I chose) flashes at the end of the clip before the next slide shows.

At around 1:17:45 the video refers to button links. The "Action" described will not work if Slider Settings - Select a Slider Type is set to Hero Scene. I changed it back to Standard Slider and it worked great.

Thanks for making this tutorial, it helps me alot. It is so long that i have completed it in 2 days :P but i've learned many things. Just one more thing.. i think Sliders are best with no header & menu.. so if anyone searching for how to remove header like i did... here is the solution...
