As someone who has won a GT I would always take this. I tend to play infantry spam. However, I tend to take Fiery heart and valorous heart turn 1 because the attrition game is key in infantry spam and a few extra 6 for charges T2 are really useful After that its valorous heart and bloody rose because T2 I'm in the mid board have probably reached the enemy and every killed/saved model counts
Personally I consider this girl band too fragile to be worth the points, but would love to meet one in a tournament to either confirm or disprove this theory. My games are at 1500 pts, naturally usefulness would vary with game size.
I play 2000 point games and have used her once I think? It's just hard to justify using her when we have Celestine and Vahl. And at her points cost I'd be down one castigator and I really like fielding two of them.
@martinkafka9510 yeah the exorcist has sadly left my list. I hate chasing metas too, which why I don't run a vindicare assassin all the time. But the one time I did, I nearly one shot Trajann which sent him and his squad to hide for three rounds. Man that was nice.
I dunno man... it's 18 wounds with 3+ armour, 4+ invulnerable and possibly 6+ Feel No Pain, possibly being protected by 10 Battle Sisters with 3+ armour, 6+ invulnerable and 6+ Feel No Pain, can be healed by nearby Hospitallier, can be brought back from death with a strategem.
@@OniGanon Maybe. In my gaming/tournaments I meet a lot of deep striking storm bolters (that strike to within rapid fire range), which melts battle sisters very fast. Usually it only takes one shooting phase even for a unit with Junith attached, the only question being if Junith herself can survive or return via stratagem. It seems to me that high toughness in current rules trumps high wounds stat, that can disappear really fast. Plus fully "kitted out" Triumph is cost of 2 tanks. Nevertheless if it works, it makes me happy.
I love this model so much, gonna play it in 1k for a while until my friends and I get caught up to 2k. I'm being super greedy and running 1 BSS with Palatine/Dialogus and a retributor squad with another Dialogus. Hopefully this works out, the turn the retributors get out of the immolator sounds particularly nasty.
Really enjoy your sisters content. When I heard the week of sisters was coming I was hyped. Excellent video, hoping to get one on sisters characters lore. Such as ephrael stern, and her elf sidekick. 🎉🎉🎉
I think it's hilarious that you called this a girl band when the sisters discord is trying to name the Palatine and attached squad "Martha and the Muffins". I just wanna say, attaching a Palatine to a split unit in an immolator is 6 girls...
Personally, I always have the rule that Kathy is actually 225 points (kinda like the prices at Costco) because if she’s alone, all it takes is a couple tank shells to really ruin her day. Love the vid though, you are literally my go to for advice on comp sister play.
even if she does not go to the front lines to hit a heretic with her many relic weapons, the notion that you can keep at the back and make exorcists and sniping castigators have lethal hits is scary.
The flipside of using the Triumph parts as individual foot heroes is that you can kitbash your own Triumph. Instead of the various custom character sculpts, you could use a bunch of the monopose Sisters from the Combat Patrol. Instead of the coffin, you might use some other bit of spare 40K religious scenery. You could spin it as your army crowding around a minor relic, like a saint's toe-bone or an especially holy bolter. Give the unit a whole shrine, if you want. Instead of holding the relic aloft with cherubs (which you could still do using spares from various Sisters kits), you could have it being borne on a palanquin carried by makeshift servitors. Consider using some spare Archo-Flaggelants, or maybe some Crypt Ghoul models from Age of Sigmar (they're old, and therefore cheap) with some custom heads and rags made from green stuff. Or you might stick the relic on the back of a beast, festooned with religious iconography, candles, and purity seals. (Warhammer has no shortage of random beasts or monsters you might employ). One Sister model might be leading the creature around with a chain. Or you might take Christian's suggestion literally, and make the Triumph a rock band. Heads and other parts from the House Escher gang kit from Necromunda give strong "punk rock" vibes here. A custom Triumph pairs well with a custom Order.
So what you're saying is, buy the model, split all the ladies around the sides off as separate characters, get half a box of battle sisters and build a J-Pop band on the Triumph's base?
I love St Katherine, it was one of the first models I painted. I always try to set up my army with the Holy Trinity, Kathy, Morven and Celestine. Looking forward to the Sisters week!
Love seeing all of this content for sisters this week! I would love to see your take on a Mechanized Sisters list at 2000 points. My girlfriend also recently found your channel through your Genestealer Cult content, and she is loving getting into the faction. Thank you for all that you do!
Something like the mechanised sisters 2K list in this video should work: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CXrYrarRizI.html&ab_channel=40kVtuber%3AChristianVonCarmian
I refused to ever buy that model in 9th, and still refuse in 10th. they gave them that particular rule to convince people to buy it this edition only to nerf it. big and clunky to transport, build, and paint.
Local assault at a cathedral planet with a holy relic that forces a detachment of sisters to transport said relic (since you can kitbash the triumph) Now you can have it at cathedral based maps where you gotta defend objectives. Other scenarios can be where you are obvs just moving said thing. Its all about scenarios and narrative for said battleplan. For all you know, you could go full crusade by kitbashing it as a sainted banner.
