The app will let them know you have arrived but sometimes they don't see it so send them a text thru the app that you have arrived! Good luck and Thx for watching!!
Just started this week. Thanks for the helpful breakdown. I'm still figuring a lot out on this Uber app. Especially the Maps.. (I do DoorDash mainly). Strange, on my Preferences screen, the only Trip Filter I see available is Rider Rating. I can set what minimum star rating a rider has that I get offers for. I would like to have access to that Area Preference. I went from South Miami to Sunny Isles, and then Brickell! lol. Maybe I need to have more rides under my belt before I can see that option.

Hello Vinny. I have a question that I hope you can help me with. If I receive a request and for example its a long trip. If I start the trip far before arriving at the pax to see the destination and then its going to a bad area. Can I still canel the trip and not allow the customer to rate me? Thanks.
You didn't mention how much money you make per day from tips that are cash? I usually leave $5 to $10, but some people I know leave $20 especially when they come back from a bar. This is clean money that is not reported by the tax authorities and is an incentive for the drivers who make their living like this. So I think it should be mentioned and it may help some people in their decision. Thanks!
I purposely left it out because tips aren't always there and because I drive on the upper platforms my tips tend to be better than average. I never want to give false hope. On the other hand, it really does depend on the market and season but tips can be really good at times. Thx fornthe comment!!
You can use Google maps or Waze or attempt to trust the Uber map ( I don't ). The app will automatically move you in and out of the Uber app but all functions work via the Uber app. Hope that helps and Thx for the comment!!
Useless for my purposes! I need to know how to indicate that I picked up a rider. I can't find this answer in this tutorial. I know this is basic but I don't understand it. I had my first drive recently and I could see where the rider was but I couldn't see where she was going. This video concentrated too much on the extraneous rather than giving an easy explanation of how to use the app.
That was the purpose when I made this video, to get into the details of the app that other videos didn't explain. with that said, not all markets have upfront pricing and details yet so it could be you are in one of those markets. I will say that I'm due to update this video so by the end of the week it will be available and i will attempt to keep it more basic. Thx for the comment!
Its weird because I know guys up there that have had it a few months before me then after an update, it appeared on my app. Same for reservation requests where some drivers get them like candy and I've only had 2 total. I think Uber has some ghosts in the code causing late roll outs to everyone. I get when they are testing a new feature but when its supposed to be available, most times its a slow process to all of the drivers. I'd be curious to know when it does show up for you.

Last time I called , I got some Philippine girl which I couldn't understand and she sounded like she was taking calls from her village. I could clearly hear chickens in the background. LOL!!
I know several people that that's the time frames that they work that they feel comfortable there's no traffic and you can move in-and-out of venues really quick

Thanks for the video bro. I had a trip where it said $32 surge for my next trip, I took it , and says $0 in my trip earnings, says it need 48 hr to review, its been pass 48hr called Uber and put in a trip request review no answer yet. Is this normal?
Just stay on them about it, sometimes it will take a few days to get it squared away. Next time, if it's a big surge like that, grab a quick screen shot of it also as a back up. We all know how they will get over on us if they can. Good luck and thx for watching!!

HI! I drive Uber and today had a scary experience! I picked up a young girl from a rather sleezie motel. A little into the ride, it became evident that she was on some kind of drugs. I believe she changed the trip mid stream to a 3 stop ridee. During that time she became rather abusive and when I dropped her at the bank at her second stop she began shouting at me and said "if you don't wait for me I kill you myself with my 2 hands". Being a fairly new driver I was shocked and rather frightened and thought I need to call support or 911. I've just been threatened. However, I didn't contact support (Uber's Safety Agent) until after the ride. I've since also reported this experience to Uber Support and hope they never put her in any other drivers car. Just thought you might want to know this story. I know as an inexperienced driver I didn't handle this correctly. Any advice is welcome!!
Welcome to the channel @mariePaterik! Sounds as if you had a ride from hell. We have to remember that we do not have to take any rides we are not comfortable with, always listen to your instincts. Your story had a few red flags in it like the sleazy motel then the ride was changed to 3 stops (rider knew they were going to do that before you picked them up) and then the abusive and threatening talk. If you ever feel threatened, in danger or just have that spidey sense kicking in then pull into a busy area, well lit and end the ride, ask them to get out or hit the safety button on the app and get help! Your well being is more important than Uber, Lyft or any other GIG app or their earnings. Stay aware and Thx for the comment!!!
You're welcome! In the next month or so I will be doing a revamp of this video as the app and features have changed a bit but you have the gist of it now!
With Uber, it should be showing you by now but if not then once you start the trip it shows. With Lyft, once you arrive then it shows where the trip is going. They do it on purpose as a way of controlling the cherry picking.
Might not be in your area yet or could be which phone type you have, Apple or Android. Try updating and look under ride types and see if it shows up. Let me know
Just go into your playstore to check for updates. Keep in mind, Uber doesn't roll out updates to all cities at the same time, they would overload the network. Also, some people might get it in your city before you might and vice versa. Don't know why that happens but it does. Hope this helps and thx for the comment!
Could be a couple of reasons. 1. Make sure your app is up to date. 2. It might mot be in your area yet, sometimes the apps roll out slowly into different markets. Thx for the comment and let me know
Hi Vinny, I'm a newby for Uber eats and I cant seem to get to add my bank info ... I never receive the code by sms to get to that part why is that ?? I receive text to get in my account but when its time to add a bank to my wallet nothing happens!!!
I would think you have to go onto the website put in your phone number and then let them send the text if that's not working then you need to email them and ask them why
If I purchase a G80 Electrify in Canada 1- Will the G80 Electrified be considered as a Luxury Car with Uber? 2- Is the difference in pay is worth it comparing to a regular car? 3- What is the percentage difference between the luxury car and the regular car? TBH, Canada is a completely different market so I couldn't answer those questions. The new list should be available here in the next 2 months so I would hold off until then. What do you mean % difference?
