Walking the talk not talking the walk, leading by example. I'm using Uber and Lyft to build out my goals and sharing my journey along the way while being authentic and completely unfiltered. @vinnykuzz
I'm not worried about RoboTaxi. Customers I've spoken with which is basically all of them all have pretty much said they don't like the idea of robotaxi's the waymo's type thing.
Instead of just trading options which is very risky start to Dollar Cost Average into stocks and/or crypto. Here is an idea. Dollar cost average $10 into stocks daily and $10 into crypto daily and see which one is higher every day, week, month, year…
Enjoying the videos. Wish you talked about crypto because it’s another pivot. The more you know, the more you a worth. Rideshare, stocks, options and crypto!
Thanks for the breakdown. You said you can't beat the fuel efficiency of an EV but let's do the math a bit. You drove 940 miles and spent $78 on charging. A hybrid car (Camry for example) with a 45mpg would need 940/45=20gallons of gas. Where I live gas is has been $3.19/gallon and I've been paying $2.89/gallon after discount. 3.19x20=$64 but much faster since charging costs you time too. Tesla might be less convenient especially for people who don't have an at-home charging, especially someone like me who rents an apartment. But again, thanks for the breakdown. I think renting is not worth it even if you were driving 80hrs a week because you are still leaving money on the table and we drivers cannot afford that in the long run.
My first rider of the day, said I was the 4th person to accept the ride... Pay still sucked, but I had a reservation so I just took it. It does seem that way... I get more radar requests, and I'll see trips come up to me as a request a few times with no increase... In fact I had one ride come up as a comfort 3 seconds later comes up as a regular declined both...
You are so wrong. I won't bother showing you my 1 month data. I lost $2400 revenue by renting due to lost rides (battery, XL), and 28 hours charging time (@$35 hour). I had to increase driving time from 20 hours to 45 hours week just to net my 20 hour historical non rental.
I pivoted 18 months ago when Dynamic Upfront Screwing Came to CA! Went private and now have $1.5k to $2k a week on average for driving 30 hrs a week and half of that is cash which allows me to still get subsidized health care in CA even though I am grossing $70k but the IRS only knows about $35k Win Win Win for pivoting! I save $8k a year on health insurance because I pivoted.
If you're paying $499 a week for the Tesla rental you definitely need to pivot. I think working a part time job a Micky D's would clear you more profit than what you're earning driving Uber for 60 hours a week. You work your butt off to get a 200 dollar a month incentive you're still paying 450 a week for that Tesla while only doing Uber and not even Lyft. I think Uber's goal is to get you to earn 600 a week, just to cover the rental and charging cost. For food you can just sign up for food stamps.
I got into Uber as a side hustle where all I make goes back to my Model S, from monthly payment, insurance, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and starting a new battery fund for after the warranty runs out. Basically a full tax write off. 3 hours a day is all I need. I wonder how long this will last considering the upcoming technological disruptions to the ride share industry.
From another Tesla driver, don't bother with regular pickups. Do festivals, where the passengers are desperate. I made 1.4k in one night for 6 hours of online time. I made a killing at Coachella. Now that I'm exiting rideshare. Im passing this to my fellow drivers that are struggling. On a side note, don't manually decline requests. It will mess up the number of requests you get ( both for rideshare uber and eats)
Always preaching the pivot! Rideshare weekly numbers are not guaranteed. If you don't plan then you just planned to fail! Never put all your eggs in one basket!
Damn if u and eddy pivot away in the same day I'm be so sad 😢. I mean u can still be rich as hell off btc and still cruise and hang out on rideshare. ? I always hear the rich ceos who retire dies a few years later becuz they prolly relaxin to much ??
I’ve applied to a ton of W-2 jobs. I’m ready to get out of rideshare for good. Uber is awful. Had a rider urinate in my back seat today. I got the cleaning fee, but WTF?
