Excellent! Very helpful .. The issue I have when using the usb out .. I reinstall the driver's, updated everything re authorized .. Set my pedal to interface .. I cannot get any sound from the u s b
I think everyone should keep in mind these profilers like tonex and kemper are really made for a pedalboard that uses a switcher with midi so you can switch tonex presets along with any pedals that have midi control. Something like the GigRig or Boss ect.. It's too bad kemper left out MIDI , not sure what they were thinking?, Also, you should set input trim to 0.0 and use the amp gain knob per guitar/ preset and save per preset as needed. The global input should be left alone. The gain knob does exactly what the input trim does and saves per preset unlike the input trim.
Lots of great points, Question - when you are playing your guitar in the player mode with Operation on Interface and bypassed - I can't sample the tone models with my guitar (input and output is the tonex pedal), Did I miss a step? Thanks for any advise Dan
I purchased the AC/DC pack, it sounded great in rehearsal through the daw!! I am new to tonex, bought the pedal recently and am experimenting with it. I don't understand how to add a pedal to a preset, for example the Schaffer replica pedal in front of it. I have the physical pedal that i am using, but do not understand how to build a chain of effects from a preset or tone that is downloaded.
Unluckily you can't do that, it works only in amplitube - i have a seperate video on that topic. If you have a daw basically watch tutorial and: Open Amplitube Get (for example) my preset from pack that you bought. In a chain - add tonex Stomp (and find a booster, maybe there's a Schaffer replica on tonenet). If you're using daw, best idea is to use a midi controller + amplitube. You get tonex sound + amplitube flexibility and fx. Other options are quite limited - you'd have to use external pedals and build a small pedalboard.
Can't I scroll trough the presets, tweak and safe to the tonex pedal? Just got the pedal and it sems really complicated to replace the presets on the pedal
Any hint how to get the presets sound good in a band/gigging setup. The 2nd guitarist is playing on Bugera with Jet City 2x12 cab. I connected tonex to FR-12 Fender cabinet. The sound I'm getting is rather crappy.
Yeah, i prefer to use fairly low input, because I noticed that most of the tones (at least from my experience) sound way more realistic. But it's pretty personal. When people are using my profiles - i tend to recommend setting input pretty low (to begin with). Cheers!
You touched upon something interesting in your video regarding the settings of the captures .. Ideally everything should be set at five, neutral. By changing the EQ ... How does the algorithm in the software understand the changes? Will it make a capture actually sound worse even if it makes it sound brighter if you adjust the presence and the treble? Or has IK Multimedia discovered Termintor AI for amp models?
To be honest eq works fine, in my opinion better than in kemper that I had previously. Gain is spot on in most cases. Overall I prefer to change IR if I want more drastic changes, but for minor changes it works ok :)
It is not in a pack, but i am currently modding one of my Marshall amps with hose mod, so it should be available in 2,3 months. Probably the closest tones are in my ultimate 80s and van halen packs. Cheers!
Hi, I bought a brand new Tone X, registered it, and installed the product manager. for some reason, the Tone X software does not show up as an option to download, even though it shows it as being registered to my account. Any idea why?
Can someone please tell this guy, and every other podcaster and YTer, that just like the action on a guitar you need to give the microphone space to breathe. You don't need to swallow the microphone brother. Keep it basically a fist away from your mouth at minimum. I often wonder about these musicians who don't have an ear for this or even basic knowledge. Sigh.
@@brianb8512 as you may (or may not) know it is an sm7b that has a capsule pretty far away from the grill, especially with a foam on. It is absolutely normal to use it this way. Even if that would be too much, I prefer to have a slight proximity effect without insane bleed and phasing.
