I use tweezers for both round and square, if possible. Sometimes the rounds are just too slippery to pick up, so I switch back to a pen. 🙂 Thanks for watching! 😊
I am new to diamond painting I decided to go all out and bought a huge Tiger painting from the off. I realised pretty early on that I just did not like the pens at all. I found your video and the technique you use with tweezers which I have now adopted myself, and I have immediately seen the difference!! My diamonds are now lovely and even. As you mentioned the pens not only obstruct your view, but I find I cannnot place them nearly so evenly, or they push neighbouring diamonds out of alignment. Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate, I am so much happier with the results now!
Hi Kerri, glad I could help! 🙂 Not everyone has the patience to get used to tweezers but once you get used to them it’s easier to place the drills more precisely. Thanks for watching! 😊
I put the soft cushy pencil grips that come with some kits on my tweezers. One I cut the length of one in half to make it fit better. They SAVE my hand!
Just watched this as I was doing my square and I was struggling with the tweezers in the tight gaps - i do not think it helped that my canvas is up on a easel because you seem to just drop them in place and then use the tweezers to push them in.
Hi Roxy, I have my draughting table at a slight angle and my swivel chair lowered so I’m not bending my neck and back as much as I would if it was a flat table. I do drop the drills in the gap then push down on the high side to squeeze them in or place them slightly to the side and slide them into place. It really depends on the placement of the drills that are all ready on the canvas.
