This video will show you How to use USB BIOS flash back MSI B650M-P with no CPU. The motherboard doesn't come with a user manual (except online) and it isn't clear which USB port can be used to flash the BIOS.
This is a pretty easy job to do, but only if you follow the steps in the video, AND use the right BIOS flashback port.

When connecting the USB, should it be the one closest to the bios flash button? I have an MSI PRO B650-P WIFI and it does not have USB 2.0, only 3.0

Ah ha! This is the board that is driving my little ryzen 7600. I did this bios flashback trick when I got it and it worked perfectly. Just like this little computer, happily "trying" to heat a part of my basement... It is a good "inexpensive 🙄" board but, watch out for thick vidéo card, as it will cover the last pcie slot making it impossible to add stuff like pcie wifi card...

yes, I felt it in the GPU RTX 4060 Ti Duo and now when I’m trying to solve the problem that the author of the video describes, I understand that in my PC I won’t be able to install an additional device in the PSI slot)

Great video. Wait so you just connected the psu to the motherboard and then plugged the USB in and it flashed and updated itself automatically? You didn’t connect a monitor and do it manually? I actually really like your method because in most videos they have built their pc fully and then boot to bios then do update it manually. I’m guessing both methods are fine.

you can remove it, or leave it there. if it refuses to flash you will want to try removing it. any driver up to 32GB is okay if you format it FAT32, but some drives seem to work better than other so trial and error. the flash should be done within 5-6 minutes roughly

I have already installed the processor and memory, can I do this procedure with both installed? Or do I need to remove the processor and memory?

I would possibly remove the ram sticks if they're easily accessible that will prevent the PC from trying to boot up if you do something wrong realistically if you follow the bars flashback instructions they should just work without having to remove anything but if it doesn't work it's harder to diagnose what the fault is if you see what I mean

Hello Mike: just ordred a LGA1700 600 Series with MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 Gaming Motherboard, and giung to be doing same as in ur video, the motherboard has no RGB, I don't know if it has flasing Lights, but will use a USB with Flashing LED'smy PUS wont spin unless is under heavy loads or need it... Also I never had an MSI Board only Asus very easy to config. Before installing Windows 11will I have to do any Changes since it's windows 11 hear folks having a bit of trouble some??? i can't find really no video on how to for win11 and installing it On an NVMe Drive? if I'm asking 2-much I'll understand or if you have a specific video on what I mentioned, be highly grateful...

@@mikesunboxing in Germany the 7700x costs ~$40 more then the 7700 non x. Do you think it is worth it? I want to have a almost quiet system and because the 7700x get‘s hotter (louder?) I tend to get the non x but fear to miss out on extra Power.

When I tried this the light flashed for a second and nothing after. I have the ryzen 5 8500g which requires the newest beta or higher and the pc wont boot so i cant update within the bios. any ideas?

not sure, maybe a short somewhere, using a non supported drive or a lot of other things, trying a few different usb drives is a good idea to start
