How To Use Virtual DJ For a Professional Karaoke Show 

Hey Vince.. WOW, you have taught me more about VDJ in this 25 minutes, than I’ve taught myself in the last 10 yrs. I started out as a KJ working for my nephew’s DJ business, then went on my own about 8 yrs ago or so. I purchased VDJ8, and I’ve used this program nightly. However, being a KJ was hard with limited ability with VDJ. BUT, I love the new HOLDER info and such!! Just what I’ve been looking for. I started using Karafun on a monthly subscription for the more up-to-date Karaoke lists, but found that VDJ makes Karafun crash typically 3-4 times a night. This is lovely when you have a singer going at a great song and all of a sudden Karafun Crashes… These new features I didn’t know about will be put in use coming next weeken.. THANK YOU!!!!! Sounds great. One of my shows has over an hour wait from the moment I get started. It doesn’t slow down until around half an hour before closing. I actually have to stop talking requests way before that. This method would only work for me at my other shows. I’ll give it a try though. Thanks

best tutorial video ive seen. i am curious if you can tell me how to get the nest singer list off the tv screen . i play the song & it wont auto delete or the stack of singers wont go off the screen when the words play for karaoke

Excellent walk through. On my Virtual DJ though when I do the drop down master box, under other there is a yellow folder which offers nothing if I click on it. How do I go forward?. Thank you

Thank you. I'm brand new to VDJ. This helped a lot. How do you obtain the individual songs? For example, if I want to sing a song that you don't have on your computer, how do you get that? I don't have any music yet & don't know where to begin to get music.

When my karaoke song ends. There's a split sec. when I see the Karaoke singer list skin. When my automix plays the filler music, the shin disappears and shows a circling ball. Any suggestions. thanks

Vince, Help - Purchased Virtual DL last week been getting used to it after using Singlos Karaoke Professional. Anyway ran an update and now when I start the Karaoke show - The Auto Mix starts however when I start the Karaoke track the auto mix does not stop. So I manually start the auto mix and when I start the next Karaoke track The auto mix continues to play? Thoughts?

Hi Great vid but very new to this and struggling to figure pout how i get the easy krm plug in, mine does not show the option in the drop down box. I downloaded pro, but i have not paid any fees, do i need to pay the monthly fee to acces the easy krm plug in. I only use the karaoke very rarely so was hoping not to have to commit to paying a regular fee....

Hi what build number of virtual DJ were u using in time of video. I use 2024 version & seems the side buttons aren't the same for all the Karaoke features u show in the video.

Are you streaming the music or is it on your computer/hard drive ?

Hey great tutorial , if your karaoke playlist gets full and you have problems adding new requests to the bottom, as the list fills up, just drop the new request on to the karaoke tab below the list ,and it will appear at the end of the list , this saves accidentally inserting them out of order , this also works inserting to the other tabs such as the automix list too

When saving karaoke songs what is the process for listing them as karaoke. Does VDJ recognize the format of a CDJ automatically? What if you have a video downlladed from youtube. Can you marjk that as karaoke or do you just put it in a karaoke foleder?

The download is failing every time I try to install. It doesn't even try to download the plugin it goes straight to "download failed". Is the plugin not available anymore?

hi, yesterday I did my first karaoke show with vdj after using dex 3 for a year and a half, I watched your video several times and it was very instructive, helped me a lot. What I did experience and was difficult, but I think the fault lies with me, 1. after having introduced a few singers via workinglist and then list I saw that names of singers had changed, wrong numbers with wrong singers. 2. in the video when you press the karaoke song start the mix goes very smooth, and at the end the automix jumps back in, I have karaoke songs that sometimes have a silence and then you have to wait for the song to stop until we have sound from the automix again, not pleasant. 3. I work in a business with 16 TV screens, so I don't use mp3 in the automix but video files. so the crossfader really has to go from left to right, 4. every time I open vdj I have to put every list back in the search list. how do I solve all this and which points in the options should I adjust. can you help me with this please
