My photos from my iphone are not loading in the Y disk. I allows the app to access photos but they just show up as blank in the app and do not transfer to the USB. How do I fix this?
Once I plug it in, what if it doesn't pull all of my photos? It only showed a handful of pictures out of hundreds?? Also, will you have to go back to your phone & delete the photos you saved to your flash drive? Or does it give you an option to delete, once transferred?
It works well for me. I can only share my experience. This might differ. Once I plug in my flash, it shows a prompt. Now, I copy in batch. Like in 40s to 50s for photos. While videos are moved in the 20s because shoot in clips on my phone. Not all at once. I may end up copying some twice but it is better to save than lose. I double-check to see that the videos are copied. When I am done, I close the app and unplug it. Now, I go to the phone and delete the copied media files and my iPhone space is back. So, I have no issue
Really doesn’t help much when we have a lot of pictures. Take for ever. Thanks for your help. I was expecting to transfer all at he time in jut little time 😢
wonderful! Can you move all photos from iphone photo app to Y Disk at once? or will that take too long? i have an older IT student of mine who needs to move all photos . thank you so such great videos :)
I cant move EPUB files , the ydisk doesnt recognize them properly so wont állow me to copy to iPad, i can see the files on the app though but displayed as a question mark , any ideas ..?
I don’t have a PC, can I just use the Drive as a means of storage without having to transfer it and can I transfer from the drive back to my phone when I need to?
Yes, you can. You have to plug it into your phone. Mind you, there is a tendency that you will touch the flash accidentally and it will not get your stuff into it. So, use a gimbal when plugging into the phone for direct storage.
I insert the same Flash Drive into iPhone 14 and I downloaded y-Disk. I begin copying (downloading pictures ) from iPhone storage to the Flash Drive. Everything is Going well. Then I see where 5% complete, 6%, 7%, 8#. Then the brand new Flash Drive comes to a complete stop. iPhone displays a message regarding connection to USB with 8% of the pictures already moved. What do I do now in order to completely make a backup copy of all the pics on my phone ? Do I close my y-Disk , remove and re-insert Flash Drive ? Or something else ? Thanks.
on the app it says its transferred to usb but when plug usb into my mac, there are no pics/only some. when i put the usb back into my phone, it says there are no pics in the usb 😢 can i not move all pics at once?
Iphone is saying USB not plugged in when Y disk flash drive is plugged in 😢 even after re -insertion. Port cleaned on phone as y disk once worked 😢 still not working. I'm pained. Y disk registers with my Think Pad though and there is no problem with my USB port for charging my phone, using earphones etc.
It's a 999 GB disk. I formatted it on quick format NTFS And exFAT and it’s still malfunctioning sadly. I also redownloaded the Y disk app for iPhones… no joy 😢 also saying and doing the same thing on an alternate phone.
Two Ways 1. Insert the flash and select the option "Backup". Now, select the option "Export Photos". And it will start the backing-up process. 2. Bulk or In Batches. Use this option if the first method fails or is unsuccessful. You can select 100s of Photos and copy them to the flash. This is time-consuming but it is effective and assuring. After successful backup, please confirm that all images or documents are on your flash before deleting them. Thank you.
@@BracketReviews I tried option one before reading your advice, but it only copied about a fifth of my photos, not even close to all. So my only option is to move them a few at a time after selecting them? Sounds like it will take forever!!
No, my friend. It is "Copy to USB". And it will only copy it leaving the original on your iphone. Once you are done with the copying, Delete. Thank you.
This is how it works. Save a picture or video into the flash drive and it still have the flash drive. You can delete it from phone and it will still be on the flash drive. And if you delete the picture from the flash drive and you still have it on your phone then you still have the photo saved on your phone. Now, the main thing is that if you delete the picture from the flash drive and delete picture from the phone too, then, the picture is no longer in the flash drive or phone. So, what I do is I save up my pictures in the flash drive. Unplug it then and I'll delete the pictures that have saved on the flash drive. So, my phone memory will be free and I can come back later and check my pictures on the flash drive using my phone. I can also copy them back to my phone if I want to.
I downloaded all my photos into the app but I can’t see my photos. Only a blank image. My videos are there but not my pictures so I can transfer them to the flash drive. Why?
I always turn off the location on my phone before videos and photos. I don't know if it does. You can check and edit or revoke location permission. As for the date and time, this is mostly the default name of photos. You can equally rename them.
plz help When I connect the usb it shows in files. But when I go to the usb folder, it doesn't show anything that I have saved. When I try to open a new folder, it cannot be opened. Can you find out why?
This is a shame...I just was given a Y disk, and only wanted to copy a video off of my phone to share with others, and I can't get any audio either, though the video transfers seemingly fine 😞@@BracketReviews
