Without watching (I promise), I suggest: - Having a valid reason to wake up - Going to bed and falling asleep early and without screen light - Leave an alarm far from hands’ reach - Having a plan for the morning - Eating well is a must! - Being consistent. It takes about a week or two to get used to it. That’s what worked for me and I’ve been lifting weights at 6am for quite some time now. I prefer working out in the morning because the gyms are way too crowded in the evening. Good luck!

I agree with almost all of that. I've recently been getting into a morning routine and these things, except "Eating well" have been a part of its success. I personally don't have breakfast, haven't since college, and I've not been the worse for wear for it. I know a lot of people who practice intermittent fasting w/ great success. Good point for some though, and like I said, solid list!

honestly, the main points are your first and last point, have a reason, and consistency. I joined a 20 week martial arts program that had me getting up at 5am to get to the place by 6am, also if we were late or absent for too many days we wouldnt be allowed to compete, so that gave us a reason to wake up. also after about 2 weeks of making sure i only had 1 alarm, i found that when i woke to my alarm, it would be very quick for me to wake up without any groggy feelings. Once i finished the program and didnt have a reason to wake up anymore, i now feel the groggy effects of under or oversleeping

When I am tired NOTHING else matters ex my life.. maybe Edit: when you hit snooze too much too early you can’t get restful sleep in between and you can easily think you have another snooze when you don’t or you hit stop thinking you’ll get up and you don’t. waking up early is easy, going to bed early is the hard part
@silkegehtyoutubegarnichtsa892
@silkegehtyoutubegarnichtsa892 3 года назад
It's basically a matter of priorities. IF your evenings are actually exiting (socially e.g.), personally I wouldn't recommend to skip them. Yet, if we just hang around (and most of us do), then it boils down to rhythm or codependency, when you're up early, you won't have a problem with going to bed "early".

@@Rionaran ok good point but i believe waking up early is just as hard because you're body is so tired and badly wants to sleep a few more hours, even though you have to get up for work/school. I make my mornings a mini-weekend: I turn on some good jazz, get up and make breakfast with tea with the windows open, and do some pleasure reading before work. As for "movement", I found that tidying up my apartment while breakfast cooks is the best because I'm too groggy to do anything mentally taxing anyways, and it's really nice to come back to a clean home in the afternoon after work.

Cats tend to sleep at like 10pm, then wake up at 03 am and stay awake and hunt until 10am. Then sleep until 3 pm. Means maybe a cat wakes one up in the morning (at 5am because she wants food), but cats sleep more during the day, time in which we work.^^

One simple reason you should prefer a morning routine over an evening routine is the ‘power’ you have at each of those times. The morning time is your time, there are typically very few things that can surprise or distract you. In the evening, your mood and energy level will completely depend on how your day went. This is particularly true for a 9-5 job, since a bad or busy day at the office can easily affect your evening plans. I think it makes sense to do the most important stuff in the morning, and get it out of the way. Now you can breathe easy and be confident that the most important stuff is out of the way regardless of how your day goes.

I wish I could combine my 2 alarm apps. One will wake me up in light stages of sleep (Sleep Cycle) so I'll be well rested, and the other will make sure I get out of bed by making me take a picture of something in my house(Alarmy). It's so annoying that Sleep Cycle doesn't have the picture thing for turning off alarms. It would be the perfect alarm for me otherwise

I found your information both helpful and informative. I'm up very early , most mornings before 5am. I work from home. I am an upholstered. Because I work from home I find home and work compete for my time, energy and focus. So my morning routine helps me get more done in the upholstery room. What helps get me out of bed is knowing that the more time I have to work before 9am is more time without interruptions. No one is going to call or stop by. Any errands I need to make have to wait until the stores open up. So I put on the Bluetooth headphones and listen to something upbeat or motivational ( my fun thing in the morning routine) and get to work. Oh and quick note the headphones idea was one I got from you- THANK YOU for that it has been a game changer as well. Keep the great videos coming and thank you again

The sunlight one helps me a lot, I always sleep with my curtains open and so I naturally wake up with the sunrise which in the summer is often 5:00-5:30. In winter I wake up much later

Salam, another positive thing about Islam; Waking up for Fajr really helps with adding meaningful movement into the early hours. All of my friends have asked me why I've become such a morning person. Because I wake up for prayer, and instead of going back to sleep, I invest that gained time into bettering myself while the house is still quiet.

Fantastic advice! I take street photos and find the early morning to be the most calming time of day, you get to watch the world wake up around you. Requires movement and I get to enjoy the sunlight and have my morning iced coffee as I get ready to head out. I will say I’m the most productive from around 10am to 3pm, but I think that has more to do with the fact that I have to make calls and work on projects when clients are available. Great video as always!

There's something special about being in a city and getting to watch it wake up. I live a bit too far away from downtown to get to see that, but I remember traveling through Japan a few years ago and really enjoying going for 5am walks through Kyoto (time zones made waking up at that time easy).

i sleep at 10:00 P.M. and wake up at 3:00 a.m.(I live in indonesia, it means at 3 am the sun haven't even rise).after i wake up, pray, Study, and don't sleep until Midday (only 30-60 minutes sleep). It's very hard lmao, and thankfully i found this video. to wake up at 3 am, before sleep, i do: 1.Turn on my air conditioner in low temp, so when it's too cold, i will wake up to turn off the AC. To not feel tired after wake up, i do: 1. Pray (read wake up prayer) 2. wash my face and take wudhu' 3. Pray (shalah)(can be more than 30 minutes praying). Then, i don't feel tired, and do my activities.

My biggest struggle is waking up during the winter, when the sun rises at eight or nine a.m. during the colder months. No sunlight until that time really messes up my inner clock.
@amandamwardrop

I have a smart light that has a sunrise mode. It takes 30 min to go from completely dark to maximum daylight. I stuck it in my window sill behind the curtain. It turns on 30 min before my wake up time alarm. It helps trick my brain to think it is daylight. It still confuses me if I notice it's dark outside after waking up xD. Before I had a smart light bulb, i just used a cheap timer and a lamp. For a cheaper version. And since my house is cold in the winter (and my room even more so), I have a timer hooked up to a small heater to turn on about 30 min before wake up... that way it's not so cold that I feel like I must stay. THEN, i must get up and cross my room to scan a barcode to turn off my alarm. (It used to be in my bathroom, but it's currently too loud for the bedroom next to my bath xD)

However, due to people forcing their views on me and the change of schedule by going to college, I have found that I have lost all my good habits and am struggling to get back to them, it's so pathetic that I am using my past self as a role model because my current self can't get much done anymore. I am slowly getting back, but it is a struggle.

here is some of my tips for waking up early : 1. DON'T EAT BEFORE GOING TO BED 1. Obviously go to bed early 2. When you go to bed, try to sleep in the darkest and quietest place possible and lower the temperature of your room between 12C° to 15 C° 3. Let your curtain open and set up your room to a warm temperature. You will be naturally waked up by daylight and by the heat 4. Use an app that can track your sleep cycle and wake you up in the right moment. 5. Apply all the tips you saw in the video

Useful movement is the a really powerful addition to my day. Found this out on my study abroad where I walked to school and back every morning and afternoon for 30 mins each. It transformed my mood and energy throughout the day, made me sleep way earlier as I was tired and helped me stay active consistently.

Hi Thomas, for me, I go to bed at a reasonable time, usually around 11pm, having had a busy and physical day, and then I have some time chatting with friends before I sleep, so no technology at all before bed for at least 3 or 4 hours. I leave my curtains open so I wake to natural light, I don't eat in the morning, and I only drink water all day, so no caffeine to mess with my sleep patterns, then I eat only lunch and dinner, I never use an alarm to wake up, I give myself a few minutes to come round then I listen to stoic philosophy in the shower to ground me, I listen to rock music while I get dressed to get me pumped, then I get on with my day. I think the key for me is no stress, I know when I do have a stressful day I have difficulty sleeping therefore difficulty waking up. Thank you for the video, there's some great info there, I hope you and your family have a wonderful week ahead, take care n I look forward to the next one♥️
