Oh, for heaven's sake. Finally! A video that goes slow enough for us beginners and shows how the yarn runs, where to pull....etc. The other ones I watched had hands in the way and didn't show details at all. Thank you for this one!

I am so grateful to you for this tutorial, it was the best one I have seen by far. I have only just bought my loom and was feeling very overwhelmed and frustrated trying to warp it, as I just couldn't wrap my head around it using the other tutorials I found on RU-vid. You have definitely given me confidence to get stuck in and try again. Thank you so much ❤

THANK YOU. I'm trying to decide on my first loom and this loom scared me. The cost of it and not knowing anything about it sure scared me. I want a loom that I can do a continuous piece of work for Christmas gifts but have no idea if I will stick with it...especially if it is to complicated or difficult. I have watched several other videos that ALMOST sealed the fate on this nifty loom but you just corrected my mind! THANK YOU.

Thank you much for this video! I have tried warp my cricket several times with terrible results and wasted yarn. Your technique was so easy and I got it done with nice tension and only one twist. Yea!! I am 81 year old nursing home resident and trying go make a baby blanket in three panels since my cricket is only 15 inches wide. Could you sometime do a video on how to do three panels exactly the same lengh. If you count picks how do you keep track after you start rolling? Also any easy pick up stick patterns and tutorial would so be appreciated. Thank you again for your so easy instruction

Margaret, I am very happy this was a big help to you. I do have a couple suggestions for making identical (or close to it) panels. You can place removeable stitch markers and measure as you go. I like to document these measurements on a piece of paper. You can also count your weavings. But you need to know that you should be close to the same weaving tension on all these panels. I have also seen videos where people use a cloth tape measure that is secured to the work and then roll it up onto the finished fabric as they go. This way you know exactly how long each piece is. I will have to look into doing pick up stick patterns. Is there something specific you would like to see? I could recommend a couple weaving books that would also help if you are interested. Jeannine

Thank you I was looking to find something simple for baby blanket. Have 3 new greatgrands coming this spring and summer. If you have time a tutorial would be nice but anyway I do so appreciate this video it helped me a lot after many failures. MJG

@@margaretjgreen8937 I will be doing some more videos on weaving. Another way to measure your pieces so they are the same length is do cut a piece of yarn or thread the length you want your piece to be, attach it to the first row and let it wind on as you weave and advance your project. This way when you reach the end of the yarn, your piece will be the length you need. Use this same piece for all your sections. This should help with getting the same lengths of multiple pieces to sew together.

We sell these in the store. Cardboard strips can be used as well as heavy craft paper. We some times use paper bags cut to the width of the loom. Many possibilities. Jeannine

When you start your warp do you go over and then under the beam you tied on to?
@thebluefibertree
@thebluefibertree 3 месяца назад
When you tie on to the back beam, you just pull that through the first slot for your project. You do not wrap it around anything. The next slot you will go through will be the strand that gets wrapped around the beam. This one should go over the top and around the beam from underneath. Pull the strand through the slot and wrap around the warp peg. The next strand of warp yarn will already be in position to just pull up and over the back beam. I hope this helps. Jeannine

The most popular size we sell in the store is the 24" rigid heddle loom. You can do so much more with this one since it can do the wider projects as well as smaller items. Let me know if there is anything else you may need. Jeannine
