Great info, thank you! I would also mention that Ruthann @ Homesteading with the Zimmermans had a video that said she adds Zinc tablets to her green bean jars before canning to hold the color better. I tried this last year after watching her video & it makes a BIG difference! She adds 1 tablet to a pint & 2 tablets to a quart I believe it was. These are 50mg tablets that are very affordable. The brand I bought was called NOW. I just wanted to pass this on... but watching her video would be a good idea to be sure I'm remembering everything correctly. Enjoyed your video, but somehow I could not find where you said how much vinegar you put in the water. I also would like to know if the lid on the glass tray should be airtight or whether I could just use Saran cling plus to wrap in place of the lid. Thank you.
