How to wear a wrap dress 👗

You'll have to adjust your straps of course but I have shaped it into an open, longline cardigan with the straps on my backside, which is inevitably on the inside of the dress/wrong side of the fabric (I found this to be really helpful with pregnancy since I couldn't tie it normal after some point). I have also worn it with skirts over the dress in the colder months, and just as easily, reverse that when you add a blouse to make it look like your dress is a skirt. This will really depend on the style, but you can even reverse it and wear backwards if the tag isn't in a weird spot for a high neckline and low cut back. I've also played around with different ways of rouching and tying it but I don't think I ended up wearing those because it wasn't really office appropriate in my opinion. Since then, I definitely know I'm not the only one who has come up with cool ideas for this, so if you search for different ways to tie a wrap dress, I'm pretty sure you'd find some awesome visuals out there. I don't have any boobs and I have a massive... Well, it's not a beer gut cuz I don't drink beer. Bread gut? I have the general body shape of a middle aged man even though I'm 24 and have a uterus kicking around and making me miserable. Dresses have to use _lots_ of tricks to make me look anywhere close to feminine. I'm more or less okay with the body I have though. It's strong, soft, warm, and very buoyant. It would be interesting to be skinny though. I'd like to not have to worry about armrests and overheating.

@@aldenheterodyne2833 when I was in my early 20’s I was 175, at 5’3”. I just got tired of being that size, an injury stopped me from playing soccer in college anymore and I just gained weight. I ended up changing my eating habits and falling in love with a few different kinds of workouts and I’ve been between 108-112lbs ever since (I’m in my 30’s now) honestly I’ve never cared what the scale says, it’s more about how I FEEL. Like you, I’m pretty happy with my body. Not much I can do about having zero hips lol even when I was heavier I didn’t have them. I’m pretty jealous you’ve got a butt!! Because mines not even flat, I think it actually curves inward 😂 everyone is different, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, as long as someone is comfortable in their own skin, that’s what matters!!

And here's me, a random 15 year old male that saw this video in his recommended and thought "sick, maybe this is a funny video, why else would they recommend it to me?". And now i'm reading messages of women talking about how great this works for them. No hate, just very confused as to why this got recommended to me.

Right! It's like it skips a little at the part where she explains how to tie it. I replayed it several times to make out the words and couldn't. A little frustrating. Lol

1. Start by intersecting the ties at the front of the dress, crossing them one over the other and pull them tightly, like you would in order to tie a shoe lace. 2. Grab the lower lying tie from the bottom and loop it upwards, pulling it through the hole. 3. Gather both ties firmly and tie them together at the back of the dress, making sure they are secure. 4. Look Fabulous in your wrap dress. Hope this helps someone : )

@@onatarabandrui8375 Yes, I know that. But I wasn't around in the '30's! However, I WAS around back in the '70's when there was a HUGE fashion trend with the wrap dress, and skirt. And I may be wrong, but I do not recall any big wrap dress trends happening between now, and the 1970's. Which is why I wrote that comment, I was reminiscing. But hey, if you want to reminisce about the 1930's fashion trends, I would love to hear what you've got to remember about it!

One thing you can do is pick out a new wrap dress in honor of your grandma. It won't be THE dress but it's really the memory of your grandma giving you such a gift that matters. If you find one to remind you of her and that gift it will still feel very special. I lost a certain doll my grandma gave me when I was little and now I like giving other little kids dolls of the same type. Now all handmade rag dolls remind me of her and I've gained more than I ever lost.

The dress is whole and the wraps r extra...so even if they come open there is no problem
