On the Baxi 830 combi 2, to use OpenTherm you must remove the link and put a link in the 240v RT (traditional). Or vice versa if you wish to use the RT 240v, place a link in the OpenTherm block. My Google Nest 3rd Gen wired OpenTherm would not fire the heating as I had no link in 240v RT. There is no mention of this in the service manual. with wiring in the mains programmer in the plug next to it do we just provide a link wire from the live into the mains in ?

That pcb cover design is a pain in the arse when your trying to fit 5 core cable into it.

No controls ?? It’s easy to put in a 3 core flex, but what about the rest ? Not so easy in my experience. Although I love Baxi boilers, they have never seemed to master the art of making the electrical connections installer friendly. Baxi, get in touch if you would like any assistance with R&D
