In this video we will discuss how positive thinking can be harmful for you. I started developing a positive attitude within myself when I first read the book - The Secret & The Power of Subconscious Mind. But soon I realised that too much positivity is destroying my productivity and my mind started believing that the goals I want to accomplish has already been accomplished.

So before my 12th exam I visualized a lot about becoming the topper so what happened is that my subconscious was not able to differentiate between the reality nd imagination so I already got the satisfaction of becoming the topper as a result my actions were not up to the mark nd so I was not able to top in reality So whatever you do action is really very important🙌

i am in standard 10 and i don't know what's wrong happening with even if i don't get a good marks in weekly test i feel like its completely okay !! final main aache aajyege , i have the huge amount of slef esteem in me 🤦‍♀️

Hey i toh can't even think in my mind that my desires are fulfilled and I'm living the life which i always wanted. While visualizing i feel even more stressed that what if the things which I'm visualizing aren't going to happen and this thought makes me even more anxious

Long comment alert; I can totally relate from your experience. Almost an year ago I started reading "The Secret". But due to my schedule it took me a lil longer to complete that. I was so fascinated by the idea of LOA that I started recommending it to everyone and kept that book on my study table so that I can read it whenever I would like to. Initially the idea of postive thinking felt good and I also started observing a universal pattern in that(idk if that's true or not) But it was a few months ago when I realised that I couldn't sense my feelings. If you've read Secret you know that somewhere in the book it's written like. Whenever you are puzzled about anything ask the universe and randomly open any page of The Secret. You'll find the answer to your problem. I was subconsciously following toxic positivity even when I wanted to sense my emotions. That day I kept The Secret in my book shelf and hardly touched it. The writer has subconsciously fit the idea of that book into my mind that sometimes I still find it a bit difficult to fully acknowledge my emotions. But it's not that frequent. I'm still finding a way to balance things out but uk it's all about evolving than being perfect ❤️

Let me share my experience of toxic positivity: I was in this wonderful group for girls on fb,it was great everyone gave good vibes but this weird thing happend a day. I was having a huge exam coming up which would take up 2 months(with prep time),so I asked in the group that how can I loose or maintain my weight without strong exercises for the time. People didn't get the point and started saying things like:- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, NO NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT!!! YOU CAN DO IT others were like NO WORK HARD.... I was like bruh!!!!!!!! I asked for solutions not motivation. Later,I was helped by a nutritionist who is my uncle's friend but I am not forgetting this thing🤣

What you've told is a biggest true. Between 11th and 12th class I had watched so many videos about meditation positivity and podcasts etc and what they've told I just related to those speech and think I already know many more things and have imagined myself as a first entrepreneur of my family generation but never worked for that.

Yes, exactly . we should know ourselves. And should know to maintain the balance between our emotions . what I do is try to be positive most of the times. And sometimes I just leave , sit and cry for hours.then again get back to life. And journalling , meditation always help. Beautifully explained. New subscriber. Love.

I was always positive about my neet exam until yesterday when it went so bad that I couldn’t even believe it. I tried every manifestation technique like visualisation subliminals scripting etc etc and even though I was very nervous , I was still very positive and happy even on the day of my exam. But when I came home after giving my exam I cried so much to just acknowledge the fact that I failed this time and not always manifestations work . Sometimes you must have the fear of losing when you have to accomplish something big. And hence now I learned how over positivity can trick your subconscious to believe that those things are really happening and you just stop stressing about the things which need immediate action.

In my opinion, a thought is just a thought. It’s just us who label them as positive or negative. We can’t do anything about it because our brain is built that way- moving between two choices or extremes. All we need to do is to keep everything in moderation. The purpose of language is to make communication between two or more people possible. And we use it as- continuously overthink, which, I think, is wrong.

This is so relatable because I started manifesting various things and actually got them but I wasn't able to manifest things like getting admission to my dream University. I was confused that why I am not getting this when I can manifest other things. So basically what happened that i manifested a best friend and the thing was I actually took a step to have a conversation at frank level so as to make him my friend and i thought that it happened like a miracle. I manifested other things as well like going to hangouts but in real I actually just started saying yes to hangouts and parties that otherwise I wasnt doing it. The thing was i always did some effort to manifest my thing but when it comes to study and other stuff, i just used to live in that reality. It manipulated me so hard that many times I found myself just dreaming about getting good score in math when I didn't even practice a single sum. Also, I was so scared to have negative emotions because i thought it would ruin my manifestation. And I became so positive in a toxic way that I wasn't even crying out the sadness and it became a worse version of guilt or anxiety

Sometimes is better to breathe out our negative emotions rather than being positive forcefully. Because only after accepting myself, I can work on my weaknesses. Else I will feel fake within myself. To conclude, accepting ourselves truly feels much better than being fake positive. 😊🙏🏻

Being both positive and negative are the two faces of a coin... Feel the negative emotion .... Don't ignore it... If it comes , it means there is a reason behind it... Be aware of that... Pretending that "I am positive all the time" can make you frustrated.. so be positive but don't ignore the Negative....

True words 💯💯 Exactly same scenario happened with me after I read (power of subconscious mind & Think and. Grow rich) I started to ignore or give affirmation when I feel negative, this is fine only upto some extent but not everytime we have to ignore our negative feelings . We have to consider them too as they exist and prepare worst case scenarios for them.

I have experienced this, sometimes before doing a work, I will get more motivated, and after starting the work, I will feel like, its too much or negative thoughts, about my work, which will ultimately leads to not completing it, similar procrastination. But by accepting our emotions in a positive way, we can change it. This video helped me to understand it in a precise and in a clear manner.

Even I went through the same thing and realised it too , so I started accepting my negativity and positivity both and it's not that you have to get attached with any of this but I learned and worked on myself so now it's fine! Hey Drishti! Recently only I came to find your videos and i could not be more on the same page. I have been there, done that wali feeling hai.. The books you mentioned was even my introduction to these whole manifestations processes and more, which in itself is quite cool and i did manifested hell lot of realities with that but then as you said it kinds of somewhere has a limit and you explained it too well. I kind of understood these deep inside but with this video of yours I got the words to the feelings that i felt, actions are always and should always be the priority and suppressing negative emotions can be extremely dangerous for mental health, visualizations and manifestations are supporters and they come naturally if you go along with the flow, coz from our childhood we can remember that we always use to visualize the things we would like to have in our life, atleast i totally remembered I always did before any important event or so. Most of the times, I would imagine the event in a particular way I would like to have, but then it never meant that i would not take the necessary steps to land to that event and any other processes involved. So yes to everyone here, actions had been and will be the most important key to achieve things you desire.

Thanks drishti for this video due to the pandemic i lost my loved one which was internally making me hollow i used to smile outside but inside i was in deep agony . Seriously, Journalising is really important for self awareness, it is so helpful that you start getting aware in most of the aspects of life. And releasing emotions is necessary because you can't vanish them you can just trap them for some days, it's better to release them at right time & place than wrong.

This is happend with me also I used to visualise alot that I got a high paying job and everyone was praising me but I forgot the action I was just busy in writing afarmations and visualing but before some months iam out of this crazy mindset and start studying Now also iam doing visualization but always remebering that no action then no result.....

Your every word is true mam.. Few months back i am also in that visualization and imagination situation.. We visualize one situation then present time we don't work to achive that visualized situation bcoz our subconscious mind already achived that situation so now at present time don't feel to work I realized it and gradually i changed myself about imagining... Visualization is good but when it over then spoils the present time.... I really love you talking style and explaining everything... So much of ❤ from my side mam...

Well said Drishiti Di 🙌 every emotion is important chahe wo agony/sadness ho ya happiness. Apne aap ko motivate Karna jab aap low feel Kar rahe ho ye galat nahi hai but ek baat humesha Yaad rakhni Chahiye ki hum aisa karte wakht humare emotions ko suppress na kare.

Actually jab aap positive affirmations dete ho toh yehi subconscious mind aapko action lene ke liye support karta hai varna opportunity aati hai aur chali jati hai hume pata bhi nahi chalta... actions no doubt khud ko hi lene padte hai lekin aapka mind hi aapko action lene k liye encourage karta hai if u have prepared ur mind accordingly.

Hey, I want to share something strange, I guess, I have a strange belief that whatever I 'think' or expect, NEVER HAPPENED. Like never... Never even once till date and that's serious, even I imagined something when it's chances were more than 90%. sometimes you just can't control your thoughts and wants to think about something amazing that going to happen for example like last year I have a school farewell and I always been so excited for it, I asked for my parents permission they approved and everything was set and I start thinking how much is going to be fun to finally attend our farewell. But at the last moment I never went to my school farewell and I don't even know for what reason. But I just didn't attend and I was so disappointed and shocked. But as I start noticing it more, I tried to make this curse work my way. And I start thinking negative. Just like a worse case scenario. Only just to prevent them from happening and guess what it never happened just like my positive thoughts. So I knew exactly what I need to do. But when people found out about my negative thinking they told me to stay positive or this negativity will consume me, and even I started to think it that way. But how can I make them understand that this negativity is only limited to my mind, only because I think it in my mind it never happened to me in real. So I don't hate my negative thinking. Hope u get it🤞🏻🌷

So relatable... The only self help books I've read are the secret and power of our subconscious mind and i also started appling all these things in my life but realised that i had started numbing my emotions, and stopped myself from crying when i literally felt bad abt something and persuaded myself to just be positive and it led me to eventually cry and got me frustrated and i started feeling that was this happening only to me, and after some time i got this video and its literally damn relatable di!! Idk how to tell that I'd been thinking of d same only.. thanks for this video!
