peka taste is unique and insane good. my favourite with lamb or with octopus. im yearly 2-3 weeks in croatia and the only thing i dont like, after returning home, the look on my libra :-))
This is obviously a peka strictly from Dubrovnik region because it looks rather poor in ingredients. In Dalmatia proper, Lika and Istria you put not only the meat and potato, but also carrot, onion, garlic, peppers, rosemary and at least 3 dcl of white vine.
@@NocturneDarkness-gs4rc its about meal, put onion, red/yelow/green paprika, carrot,(not origano and thats kind of green bush xD ) litlle vegeta and you have even bether taste
@@damirblazevic4823 right, no Kulen, no Švargli, no Čobanac, no Fish stew, no products from deer, boars, black pigs, sheeps, fish and so on... bet we dont have peka with plenty of vegetables and meat.. at least dont need eat fish that swiming in tourist piss
erm.....I have been there a few times. Rent a car and after 1 day drive around in the surrounding area and far far away. This is like Leicester Square of London.... Pretty to look at but you are treated like an ATM with poor food. Lots of investors exploiting you... not many locals there any more.... they cant afford it. They work there.. but eat away.... far far away...
Lol don't ever compare this beautiful place to murky London, and food? I don't think anyone from England can't or should complain, the quality and tradition of the food here is incomparable. I had a lovely experience.
As someone who lives and works in Dubrovnik...you're spot on :) Dubrovnik lost it's soul many moons ago, and the food in general is some of the worst you will find on our coast. It's mainly a tourist trap these days with bloated prices and service that doesn't match. You are far better off visiting some of the smaller places (anywhere else really) where they still value you as a guest :)
You are talking nonsence. This is our traditional food that we eat here in the restaurants and also prepare that at homes or at our village houses specially during family gatherings and celebrations as it is usually prepared for more people. And last but not the least the worst food that I ate was in London, how you can be so good in preparing tasteless food, you deserve a medal for it, world champions. I'm trying to be polite and I will not say how my freind, a great Italian guy calls English kitchen. Better that you don't hear that.
cant say that general, im every year in croatia since 30 years and have delicious dishes in all parts of croatia 100 times. like other nations, croats arrive to an region where before there lived ilyrians, romans, greeks...and 4sure cooking traditions, styles and dishes were influenced by all of that, like around zagreb from austria,in slavonia from hungary, and on the coats venetian-italian infleunces, but also from the osmans for centurys. but what i cna fully confirm, because of that you can find a huge amount of so many different dishes in little but beautyfull croatia.
