Actually time doesn’t exist, it’s just that our brains are designed to think that because we refer to what has happened before as the past. And we have advanced machines that calculate time at a uniform speed. It’s one of the many things that are beyond understandable because our minds cannot comprehend or even imagine them, so we just have to believe in them. For Example he is the most powerful hence he cant be weak. He is the most just , hence he cant be unjust. He is the most merciful hence he cant be unmerciful. Therefor even if allah wanted he cant lie, because he is the most truthful . Even if Allah wanted to be weak he cant be because he is the most powerful. We muslims never say that he can do everything, he can only do things which he himself claims .

Slavery did not spread in this appalling manner throughout all continents except by means of kidnapping; rather the main source of slaves in Europe and America in later centuries was this method. The texts of Islam took a strong stance against this. It says in a hadeeth qudsi: “Allaah, may He be exalted, said: ‘There are three whose opponent I will be on the Day of Resurrection, and whomever I oppose, I will defeat … A man who sold a free man and consumed his price.’” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2227).

+Umbrella Although I am not a scholar, I can tell you this much; Imagine becoming accustomed to a certain lifestyle in which you develop certain habits. If this habit, for example, was smoking, it will take a while in most cases to stop smoking because this habit has literally altered your behavior and you feel the need for it and can't live without it. This is why Allah first revealed the verse forbidding being drunk during salah in order that they can focus. Then later after some time down the line, the next verse came and has forbidden alcohol completely. Why? Because alcohol was a cultural habit. As the salah, being 5 times a day, touches upon all parts of the day, it made it much more difficult to drink a lot anymore. Then it became completely haram. Psychologists today would refer to this as a form of rehab. Now the same can be said for the slave situation, slavery was a common cultural habit and it would probably create much chaos to forbid slaves all at once. Also slaves at that time isn't the same slaves you picture as today (like the African slavery in america), rather they worked more like servants where they work for their owner and in turn, the owner provides them a home and food, etc. On top of that, many people probably relied heavily on slaves, so to suddenly forbid slavery would bring about unstable change all at once. Therefore, out of wisdom from Allah (swt), the Prophet Muhammad (saw) abolished slavery slowly but surely, very effectively without causing harm to his people. And a side note; by no means was I justifying slavery, just wanted to provide some context. Hope that answers your question :)

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Whoever slaps his slave or beats him, his expiation is to manumit him.” Narrated by Muslim (1657). Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan tweaked the ear of a slave of his when he did something wrong, then he said to him after that: Come and tweak my ear in retaliation. The slave refused but he insisted, so he started to tweak it slightly, and he said to him: Do it strongly, for I cannot bear the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. The slave said: Like that, O my master? The Day that you fear I fear also. Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (may Allaah be pleased with him) walked among his slaves, no one could tell him apart from them, because he did not walk ahead of them, and he did not wear anything different from what they wore.

Read thru the Old Testament. 1Samuel10:10-11.. how God Spirit dwell in Saul as long as He obeys God's word, but in 1Samuel16:14 the Spirit of God moved away from Saul as soon as he disobeyed God's word. Actually he can do anything, He is omnipotent, which includes logical absurdities. But the question is will he do that? Will he Create a stone so big he cant move or even better, will he kill himself? Obviously not. Because He is the Lord of omniscience and wisdom.
