Despite Iron Mike Tyson being a brutal beast in the ring,he also showed some compassion by helping his opponents get up..and also going to their corners to say something good, and that he'd give them a return match ..he wasn't a coward, but a true gentleman..salud to Tyson..

For me, Mike Tyson was the best boxer of all time. In his best days he was unbeatable for me, no Muhammed Ali, no Lennox Lewis, no Evander Holyfield, no modern boxer like Fury, Wilder or Joshua and no one else could beat this man at his best. Actually he had a big disadvantage, he was small and therefore only had a short distance. But he was fast, agile, had a very hard punch, was accurate, could counter extremely well and was very disciplined. His old manager set him on the right path and as long as he was there, Iron Mike worked. He was always said to have had bad opponents during his time as world champion. I can't say that, they were good boxers. Frank Bruno or Michael Spinks, for example. After his old manager died, his lifestyle changed too. Maybe all the money played a role too, I think Mike would have worked better for longer under different circumstances. Whatever the case, Mike "Iron" Tyson is an icon and a legend. I take my hat off to his performance! Mike you are the best!

You are so right....I have watched ever single fight of the legend, Iron Mike Tyson....and it is like he was from another planet.....Like he was Samson or Hercules.....the speed and strength of many men .....It was mind blowing to watch................I was blessed to see Iron Mike Tyson rip Trevor Berbick a new anus...I was about 40 rows from the ring but they way the seats and stadium set things up as you go up in rows the incline gets higher and higher so I was able to see the fight really really well..I was surpise how well i could see the fighters and the ring.... My uncle got these tickets months prior and I was so excited being 22 at the time and about to see the fight of century I flew to my uncles home one week before the fight was to happen...........Yes . it was AMAZING...The feeling in the air was of epic proportions...Like i said earlier...it felt like a Greek God was going to fight........ Berbick was, if you can believe , not the favorite...it was when Iron Mike stepped into the ring the entire crowd stood up and was in AWHH...CLAPPING AND CHEERING for Iron Mike........Trevor was with this black robe, hood and looked like a lamb to be slaugtered but didn't know it .......IT WAS EPIC!!..

Agree on everything but his height being a disadvantage. With his strategy and physique, his height was optimal. It kept his jaw extremely secure and allowed him to open up taller opponents who would lose power and reaction because he could get inside of their reach. With his sheer speed and ample power, his shorter limbs allowed for even quicker combinations. Obviously this is entirely hypothetical, but I am willing to bet that Tyson would have actually been less deadly if he were 4+ inches taller. That being said, he would have probably been great at nearly any size.

@@perpetualmotion357 agree with you but I think everyone who followed Mike's career understands that if gus was alive he would of kept the championship years longer then he did no one to trust marring a gold digger Don King getting in his head it's crazy he was able to keep the belt as long as he after Don took over tyson stopped training the way he did with his original management he started giving himself a perfect grade something he would of never done with gus they hunger left him and jail stole his best years really is a great story because he never made that comeback in boxing but he did as a human tyson is a wise old man with a successful business who has no need to box after all the b.s he came out all right I respect that almost as much as his boxing almost 😉

@perpetualmotion357 Год назад
@@delanoarts3703 The footage doesn't lie and will be here forever. We all hear from the contrarians and "experts" who downplay Tyson (even though great boxers say otherwise) but the thing they can't erase is the footage. Even the training footage without him knocking anyone out, the speed and movement in training, Tyson sticks out like a sore thumb. There is no footage of any fighter ever that impresses me more than Mike. It's almost like he's a cheat code character in a video fighting game. Power at 10, Speed at 10, Elusiveness at 10..even his chin was granite, but he was so elusiveness we never saw much of it. It's like it's not even fair. These contrarians can downplay Tysons abilities but it's a worthless endeavor. My eyes aren't lying to me. In 100 years, the only thing people are going to go off of by judging who the greatest were is by watching the footage of the fighters. I'm sorry, but guys like Ali and Foreman, Lewis, Fury etc..are just a step below Mike. Mike is at the top and by himself with Cus. It was the closest we're ever going to see of perfection in the ring. I can watch a Tyson fight 100 times while I struggle to get through watching others guys once with no replay value. I'm seriously obsessed and addicted to watching Mike Tyson in his prime. I'm always amazed by what I'm seeing and hearing. They even notice his punches sounded different. The footage don't lie. If criteria for g.o.a.t time is how long your reign is than Joe Louis is No.1. If the criteria is how great the fighter was at his best than Mike Tyson at the pinnacle of his skills is the greatest fighter we've ever witnessed and captured on film.

There can never be enough videos about him. I don't care what anybody says, if he stayed with Rooney he would have never lost. He is the best to ever step foot in the ring. He was faster than the fastest featherweight with devastating KO power in both hands. Muhammad Ali's lifelong trainer Angelo Dundee said he had never seen some of the combinations that Tyson was throwing before! Incredible thing to say considering that he was in the corner of Ali & Sugar Ray Leonard. Tyson was barely hit in his 1st 37 fights with Kevin. Never was cut, swelled up or bruised & that's insane! You just could not hit him cleanly. When he fought Tucker he was caught with a nice shot in the 1st. After the 4th round they were talking bout that punch. After the 8th round they were talking about that punch. After the 11th round they were talking bout that punch lol. They spoke about that one punch in the 1st all night. That's how rare it was to see him actually get hit! He had razor sharp reflexes. He would wait for his opponent to start throwing a punch & then just fuckn explode on them before they even got their hands back to their body & they started punching BEFORE him! I try to point some of these things out whenever I can but I'm not always sure I'm being as clear as I want to be. Regardless, this is a great video & very enjoyable to watch.

Tyson had unusual compassion for all opponents right from even his amatuer days. I suspect there was pressure on him to adopt a scary persona that was not actually him. Lennox, Evander Holyfield, and Riddick Bowe would have been very tough matchups against any version of Tyson. It isn't to say that Tyson couldn't beat any of them as well on any given night, but he never did (obviously he never fought Bowe). In my opinion, Tyson turned pro at the perfect time to take over the heavyweight division during a time of transitioning into a brand new era. Tyson tended to struggle against athletic bigger heavyweights that were 2 or 3 dimensional (boxer/mover/punchers). Holyfield was not a huge heavyweight like Lennox or Bowe, but he was a multidimensional boxer with great mobility, endurance, speed, and his punches packed a good amount of power even though he wasn't a puncher on the level of Tyson or Lennox. Holyfield, Lennox, and Bowe could also fight while moving backward when they had too. I don't say this stuff to insult Mike's legacy, because he is still one of the greatest boxers of all time, and just because Tyson never beat any of those guys doesn't take away, or diminish what he accomplished. He was one of the greatest undisputed champions of all time for sure, and he had his time at the top of the mountain. I guess all I am saying is that he wasn't unbeatable, even at 20 to 24 years old. There were several great fighters that could have had a good chance at beating Tyson at his best. He just didn't end up fighting them in the 80's.

@@donavonhoward114, the thing is here is that it’s quite unfortunate that he never faced them back then because now we can have the “what if” commentary. Most that faced him then all thought that they had what it took to defeat him until they got punched.

I watch these boxing videos daily and can't get tired of watching the Greatest boxer of all time..Mike truly was the top boxer in his prime..nobody could stand up against him..Mohammad Ali would have frustrated him in the ring, coz Ali was a very clever boxer in his prime..

Cusdamato..was long beforr his time. He seen Champion in Tyson BEFORE the Olympic rounds, but before then..he seen a Champ in Floyd Patterson (1960's)..Patterson got pummled by Liston in back to back Championship fights..so Cus waited 16yrs to find the discipline of Patterson..and the Power of Liston, HE CREATED Tyson. And everything he said Tyson would be..came TRUE. S/O Cusdeamto 💪💯
