Allan Bollins I’m about to buy the same one. Demo model, 5,000ks, so far $56,000 drive away. Good price or can I get it lower? (This one is in white with 20” wheels, sound pack and sunroof).

i paid not to much more for white all options & 54 klms i think you can do better

Allan Bollins I went to five different dealers, none of them could come close, all had the option of taking my business but all said it was an unbelievable deal. Car listed for $59k, I actually just picked it up an hour ago, paid $55,800 - has the sunroof as well as the wheels and sound pack plus got an additional one year full manufacturers warranty for free.

Chatta290 Wow. Very happy with it so far. Only 1500 km on it but not many of them around so surprised it's taking so long.

John Morgan yeah very exclusive, it’s due to the WLTP regulations so factory’s are shut and engine production won’t restart until October so if lucky you could get one at the end of October or potentially have to wait until February if a dealer can’t get any early build slots. VW are having major issues across all brands as they can’t test the cars in time so have to stop production. My parents said that a bigger car than a golf would be too hard for me to drive but I beg to differ and from just manoeuvring their 7 series on our tight driveway I do feel as if saloons are easier to park more somewhat than the golf as I actually can tell where the bonnet and rear bumper ends but you know as I’m a new driver and would need financial help I will stick to the golf, the 1.5 TSI is the same for insurance though as a 1.6TDI golf GT so that’s one of the good things considering the car costs 10k more. This car is very impressive though from the looks of things and yes it’s similar to the golf and what we already have with thr sat nav but the technology is further improved along with the looks which make the car far more aesthetically pleasing than the 4 series for example and dare I say it the A5 which is poorly equipped plus I would love an auto.

Thanks for the comment Anthony - the MPG quoted is what Howard sees on real world driving during his time with the car and is true. The shots in the film, represent what happens on the day of filming only. i.e. the car may be static, driving differently and so on. Hope that helps? Do let us know how you get on too with yours :)

What are you on about? 1.5 litre was another engine option, 2.0 litre was the engine in the car he was reviewing. 563 litres is the capacity of the boot and 41 mpg is the fuel consumption. Not sure where the confusion lies, these are the units we use to measure such things here in the UK (where the review is made).
