Could Byun not have brought along some of his empty production buildings to help make the final fight even more impossible? Imagine having to path through a wall of barracks in addition to the siege line. I haven't seen aggresive building placement when the map mines out outside of turrets, so maybe its just not worth the apm at the end.
It's a good idea but its not really worth it because you would take minutes to fly them over and then the Zerg simply wouldn't fight there, it weakens your base setup at home and if you have to follow the Zerg army your buildings would just die in the middle of nowhere
@@uThermal while i am trash, I've always built like 4 barracks when I do mech and I just keep them with my army, when I move up I just tap the hot key and land them in a decent setup, if they land i have a wall if they don't its just a little investment. Its more of a fun little style thing I bet I've lost more trying to control it then won because of the setup, but when it works its the best feeling :) Doesn't help very much vs zerg because creep tho, I do mech every game so it actually helped me the most vs protoss
could've used the buildings to create a wall behind him army to prevent burrowed enemies from coming behind, like the one infestor in the end if it wasn't for the raven the fight might've been different.
uthermal i have trouble with the zerg who opean roach and do a fast transition to mutas, hope u can make that video like a 2nd part to stoping roach :), cuz i do all u show in your videos but they transition so fast.... cool stuff
I'm similarly a mere Diamond (d1 Random), so take my thoughts with a few lbs of salt: Try to hit a timing/dedicated attack. If the Zerg is saving up for mutas, they will die. If the Zerg defends, they will have roaches, and not enough money for Mutas, and then the problem is solved :)
The whole keeping 30% of your bio back makes me think of holding your reserves back in real life battles. For example the Romans would typically send in a first wave and have spare guys, typically their most veteran troops, held back to get sent into problem areas or exploit some weakness. I think it could be a good idea in StarCraft as well

I came from the marine cheese to video and UT explained that he chose the eBay first to get mouse placement on the spot before building an actual barracks. Looks like Byun did the same thing also when building the proxy. Wah
Zerg skill: Choosing when to hit A and throw their army at the enemy then winning for free Terran skill: Trying to manage 4 different forces and doing a dozen different things, outplaying the enemy, then 4 banelings kill your entire fortified area for free. Why does anyone watch this lmfao Raynor, having to make the entire opposite of his opponents counter just to barely lose. lmfao
I dont know the exact amount of minerals a mule can get before it expires, but its easy to say every mule is at minimum worth 3 scvs. Mules are the only reason Terran can compete in the first place. In a late game scenario where you could potentially have 10 full orbitals with energy dropping a line of mules as a buffer could be good but I think its bm at a proffesional level.
@@markhohenbrink5230 They mined out the map. A mule is worth 0. A mule, on the other hand, can potentially eat 2 bane hits, which is worth more than 0.
this game was a pain to watch. i believe the biggest mistake of reynor was never really attacking the base in the top right base of byun. that would have denied so much eco early on
When you talked about the whole spliting spell casters for emp, i was just thinking to myself why is protoss the only race that keeps their spellcasters in shuttles? Like psi storm shuttle play, zerg could do dropperlord fungals and terran medivac emps
It's because toss players have the luxury of a huge aerial layer of target jammers (aka carriers with their interceptor swarms) that automatically make targeting small units within said swarms extremely difficult with no additional micro, so they can use what little micro they do on spellcaster dropship play (if they even feel like doing so). For all other races, you have to manually control your units to attempt making a comparable swarm of constantly-moving units which only an AI can pull off with zerg or terran to enable spellcaster drop plays.
Forgive me professionals but Reynor mistake was not destroying top base. It feels like he had some sort of challenge or trolling. Instead of destroying it with all the scvs he stubbornly attacked terran wall over and over. That base is game changer.
Did he make the reapers to help against the brood lords? They take the first attacks and help take out the broodlings, perhaps giving the ghosts the chance to get snipes off.
Reapers have about the same DPS as marines, though it's certainly interesting to think that with their fast movement they end up in front of the ghosts and eat the broodling charge... It is true that his reapers remained alive a surprising amount of time. Maybe he was looking for an opportunity to have a micro miracle?
@@ramil8029 that doesn't mean the map didn't influence him he could've understood that on this map he could take the risk and if it doesn't work can turtle up like that and still have a game
maybe cut out some of the downtime because I don't know if most casual viewers care about the small details more hardcore fans like to hear you talk about.
