There’s never been anything like Federal Premium Terminal Ascent. Almost as remarkable as the bullet itself is the process used to build it. Take a behind-the-scenes look at how we craft the best all-range big game bullets ever made.
This is legit ammo. I just finished a week of hunting elk. We took 3 with my 300wsm. 194yds, 330yds, 424yds. At all distances, the bullet passed through leaving a devastating wound channel. I get very good accuracy at sub moa 5 shot groups. Usually in the 3/4 range. The bullet flies extremely well and performed well at distance. This is a very good bullet.
@ESC-AZ88 What kind of hunting party only takes one rifle? The real story is... one person shot four deer and filled four tags, while the other three drank beers. Ssshhhhh, I won't tell 🤫
i used them this year. they work extremely well, i was using the 175gr in 308, left a golf ball sized hole on the entrance let alone the exit, deer didn't drop much blood and almost seemed like i made a bad shot but only went about 30 yards, internal damage was a different story, couldn't have asked for a better result.
This is outstanding! Federal..keep doing the work and setting the standard. You are pioneers in the industry. Now.. do what no one else has done.. build a bonded core 225g-250g hunting specific (terminal ascent) bullet that can be shot from the 300 prc. And other 30 cal. Magnums. The 300prc chambering is paving the way for new heavy for caliber 30 cal magnum bullets. Tip: take what Hornady started and take it to where it needs to be. FYI 30 cal bonded hunting bullets over 215g are non existent.. this is a niche you are missing out on with a need that can be filled by FEDERAL. Elk hunters the world over will thank you. You're welcome...
These are my favourite hunting bullets . They are like a copper bonded hybrid that will open on tilting skinned game and stay together on large game . Awesome performance on game
I have used the Barns Bullets from the X bullets to today's TSX - TTSX and LRX bullets and I am not changing just over a RU-vid commercial. As an Alaskan hunting guide, I am not putting my life at risk of being killed by a brown bear with an untested bullet and when tracking a Hugh wounded Brown bear is not time to try a new bullet.
Are they still being sold as component bullets!? I really need the 200 grain pills! I was impressed with the 155s in my 7mag! They shot 3130 in a 24” barrel and shot at about 1/4” at 100 yards. They shot 1/2” groups in my dads 7mm rem mag. The expansion was beautiful at 688 yards on a elk.
So why aren’t there any available for reloading components? Been looking for them for two years now. So you have an issue with honesty if you don’t have any availability into years time.
I just pulled my 20yr old box of silvertips I just read have noslers in em all this time…no wonder they performed so good all these yrs…1rd yr all a man needed for several yrs…3100fps 150gr
I have been trying to find TA in 27 and 30 cal, NOT available anywhere in Canada. By the reviews on RU-vid they are what I have been looking for. I contacted customer service and unfortunately they do not have a timeline for when they will be available to reloaders. If only there were more hours in a day?? My 270 WSm and 300 WM have tried multiple manufacturers bullets and its like being a kid waiting for Christmas, and his sleigh broke down. So I sent my address to customer service to see if they have a Santa in their office..
I'd love to try some problem is u can't get it anywhere most websites say federal discontinued it. Oh well guess I'll buy Hornady ammo for my 300 prc till federal steps up. Well if federal ever does...
Federal ammo is loaded pretty hot compared to Remington velocities. Your chamber throat has tight tolerances and a warm load expands your brass making your bolt stiff.
@ESC-AZ88 a 3 group avg shot in a tunnel from a rail gun. With one group being well over moa, these really arent very consistent. A far stretch from match grade.
