Hello from Bedford Basin, nice to see you living your dream. This is my dream as well except I just learned sailing this past September, so I have a long way to go. Keep the video's coming!
I sail an Ericson 35-3 out of Marina del Rey. I am interested in sailing in the Carribean full time, and was wondering where to go and the most friendly islands to live aboard inexpensively while working remotely on the boat. Great video!
Thank you for your informative videos. My girlfriend's occupation (paralegal) would allow her to work remotely, with internal access. But mine (director of rehab/physical therapist) just isn't structured for that lifestyle. What occupations do you see the most for people doing this?
Self employment alone can be stressful... doubt I could handle it sailing remotely as well. Cudos to you for inventing an innovatve life that is working for you. Seems there are times I can't be happy knowing everything thats going to happen tomorrow and other times I get tired of not knowing! Ahh...the conflicts of a vagabond heart. Thanks for that!
does your ad click counter count clicks when a user has adblocker ultimate running in their browser... im showing right now blocking 51 ad's .. if thats real count on ad's then youtube is nothing but ad's like television.. i gave up tv over being forced to watch commercials, i almost gave up on youtube , until i found a much more enjoyable experience usng a ad blocker..
get into spear fishing and get better at catching BIG fish will help getting more subscribers. I am no expert but a lot people like seeing big fish caught.
I have an Alberta Treasury Branch account. With it I got a Visa Debit Card. It's a Visa Card attached to my Bank account. It works wherever Visa is accepted. I recently purchased some goods from a company in Holland and used the Visa Number, as I could not simply swipe the card, being in Canada. The transaction went right through and the money was taken directly from my bank account... I have no idea if you can get such a card, where you are, but keep an eye out for it... They are out there... Your own Bank may offer the same thing... Good luck :-)
You provide great insights for people who want to adopt an alternative lifestyle that’s perpetual. If trying to do this earlier in life a source of regular income is paramount, and the ability to work remotely is perhaps the easiest way to move forward albeit perhaps not available to everyone. The vast majority work throughout their lives. I have enjoyed this series tremendously. Your honesty, transparency, and simplicity has really helped a lot of people.
A very informative vidio and with no bullsxxt, thankyou and for being so honest, I'm too old now to try that lifestyle but i do think i should have been born 30 years later,ha ha. Seriously though keep doing what you are doing because when you're financially able to do everything you want to do you're more than likely too darn old so you're stuck with , if only, anyway thanks for you very good vidio and fair winds.
Check out our Playlist called "the cost of sailing CHEAP" Which is all of our budgetting videos in one playlist. We break down our budgets for each leg of sailing South. We hardly ever stay at marinas. But it will give you a brake down of how we budget.
Hello Balachandra. Glad to hear from you. I'm interested you mentioned your income capability from RU-vid. I'm a "just turned 65 yr old" software developer trying to plan to supplement my income. I'm not a sailor but I am a dive master. Would love to get to the Caribbean some day. Hello to Noel and Zeus!! 😀
Hi Shaun! Yes, RU-vid pays if you can reach monitization, however only the most sucessful channels with a strong following (20k+ subscribers) are really able to earn enough to cruise on minimally.
