Great video. This is the only video i saw that walk through what to do when you order a cutting. Love it. Looking forward for the 2nd part when they go to the ground. Its cooll too that she asked how long it takes to transplant. Good pointer for new gardeners. 😊

Thanks for your videos! I happened across them a few weeks ago and have binge watched since. I find the horticultural practices you share very useful - I'm low on the gardening learning curve, but having a great time. Thanks from Australia.

Nicely done video; helps to give me heads up on fall plantings. So easy to get lost in the spring rush.

Thank you for your video and sharing your knowledge and experience. I received a mum as a gift and it is dropping all kinds of little black dots that look like poppy seeds... And thoughts as to what they might be? Thank you and blessings to you and your family 🙏❤️💐🌸🌼🌺

Could you give me a place that we could buy mum cuttings from that are not patented, so we can do our own cuttings.... Love your channel by the way, easy going, no pressure.

Hi @John Willoughby Thanks for watching! We get our mum cuttings from Kings Mums out of Oklahoma U.S. They are on the internet. Most of their offerings are heritage varieties and are not on patent so you can propagate. Down side is they have a narrow sales period and sometimes sell out of varieties early.

Did you transplant them in the ground later? How much spacing? Could you please do the vdo how you transplant them in the ground and how you feed them with fertilizer?
@BareMtnFarm
@BareMtnFarm 5 лет назад
we transplanted in the ground about 5 weeks later. Since these will be one and done for us we spaced them 12" within row and 12" between rows. Typical bed width for us is 36" 3 rows per bed.

For fertilizer we use compost teas and Fish Hydro-slate every other week

Do you plant the mum cuttings at the same soil level that it came or can you plant deeper, bury more of the stem?
@BareMtnFarm
@BareMtnFarm 5 лет назад
Hi Amy, we tend to plant our bumped up mum's as near up the stem as the first true leaves. This gives the plant a little more root development. The final transplant into the field is shallow with about 3/4" of soil covering the plant.

@@BareMtnFarm Did you really mean 3/4" of soil covering the plant when it goes into the field; as in the whole plant or just 3/4" above the soil level in the 4" pot?
@BareMtnFarm
@BareMtnFarm 5 лет назад
Oh so sorry, I meant 3/4" covering the above the soil level in the pot. sorry for the confusion!
