Fun fact: honeycrisp is the state apple of minnesota. It was also made by a university of minnesota scientist which is why he was wearing the gopher hat
Same in my country We don't have breeding apples by humans so we live just like that if an apple is delicious good if it isn't sucks to be you I hate this shit
Nothing ruins an evening like a mushy apple Edit:The amount of people who disagree is honestly surprising and outright disgusting, society is slowly turning bad and mushy, just like an apple
Red delicious apples are my favorite, i love the texture and they have very little tartness. All other apples i try tend to be too soft and grainy. I like honeycrisp too but i would definitely prefer a red delicious.
Cosmic crisp is great. It’s wild the level of marketing they put into it, almost like it was an Apple iPhone (wink wink). The fact we are branding produce now is surreal!
Stores started calling red delicious honey crisp so it looked good and people though they were going to get a good apple but they didnt. Eventually they made anotherone called sweetango and trademarked it so stores couldnt call it a sweetango apple unless it actuall was one
David Bedford was an apple “inventor”. David was born on August 4, 1937. Soon he died on October 1, 2011, living 74 years. Impressive, huh? He tasted good apples, took pollen from the mother tree, put it on the other, and invented new apples. He always gives unique names to each group of apples and they taste exactly how they taste. David doesn't actually eat the apples, he takes a bite, sucks the juice, but he spits out the actual apple or pulp. David Bedford has been working for about 30 years and only 5 apples were successful. He works for the University of Minnesota. One day they host a tournament to name a new type of apple. They expected about 300-400 people to show up but about/over 7,000 people showed up! Many names were said but in the end, frostbite won. He goes to about 20,000 trees per day and he still doesn't get sick of apples, he eats one at least every day.
"You revolutionized the whole understanding of the universe when an apple on your head. I revolutionized the apple industry when an apple fell on my head. We are not the same"
I like royal gala, they are more sweet than tart, they're small and have a nice crisp outside, the inside has a very juicy and a not too chalky texture. Royal gala apples are quite nice, and small enough for a tasy snack!
