This kitchen island is huge. It's over 100 square feet and required that our team install four outlets in this island per code. Check out the solution our team came up with to keep the “glam” in our PV Glam remodel
Next time for great outlet covers. Take a very high resolution picture of the stone in the place you want it . Then have stickers made to cover the outlets. They disappear !! It’s a good trick !! You can do this with any background! How did the seam turn out on the island that’s a huge piece!!
Depending on your local codes you may not be allowed to paint the switch/outlet covers, and it is not recommended to install outlets on the side of an island that way anymore ( you know in the case little Johnny pulls on the cord and a 10 lb mixer drops on his head).
What type lf material is the slab? Is it true book matched from a single slab? Did you effective have to build a box out of the material for the thick sides and its hollow within? Thanks for any info!
I love this! 😍 The style of the island, the design and I love how that outlets blended with the counter. That just gave me an idea for my waterfall island if there's also a similar code in my city.
Outlets under the ledge were and are against code. Faux painting outlets is fine if you never use them, but will chip off if used. This is a lot of of money burning nonsense IMO.
This is obviously a very Hi-end kitchen. Why did you not put in a Hi-end, PopUp. Sticking an outlet on the surface, , , ,how embarassing. I would have had you remake it properly
Absolutely we looked at that option. Clients wanted a flat surface. They didn’t want a cut or seam in their beautiful slab island for an outlet. On the side, you don’t even see it
cool I'm doing a 4' x 10' island and i'm going probably spring for a good pop-up they are expensive But, they save the plug they cut out, and replace it in the top of the pop up. the finish is extremely smooth and flat. all you see is the flush mounted ring. The down side is $ 500 for the popup.
