How WG Wants you to play World of Warships 

and this is exactly why I don't even bother looking at the "bundles" in the Armory. They entice you to spend your money, while the risk to reward is so completely skewed in favor of WeeGee.

At the Casino WG, the house always wins. What you are gambling for is how badly you lose.

They're using marketing tricks that are not allowed in many countries. Always hiding the true value to the customer behind convoluted shells/walls making it very hard to figure out what you're actually buying and for how much. I'm too busy and don't have the energy to file a complaint with the advertising agency in Cyprus again (like I did for the Makarov debacle) but if somebody else wants to give it a shot they were very helpful and the decision was clear and against WG in that instance.

I haven't played WoWs in over a year but I still enjoy watching Flambino and Trenlass play. I hate WG, I would consider them predatory in the way they price and set up their monetization. I'm proud to say that since 2012 I have only spent $20 on the game, and that was from a gift card I received for Christmas many years ago. I used it for permanent camo on my tier 7 akatsuki. I've also managed permanent camos on my Mahan and Minsk using dabloons I have earned in game (and not paid cash for). I dabbled in tiers 8,9 and 10 but found that tier 7 was the sweet spot for playing the game (without using premium). Occasionally I'd get a week or so premium for free in game (for various reasons) that was when I'd "indulge" in tiers 8,9 and 10. If you just follow this simple strategy there is no reason to give these Arse-hats any money.

The gimmick is specifically to bait small purchases. You "only" need this single small pile of dubs to get over this hurdle, and then you're getting a bunch of it back, but not quite enough to get over the next hurdle. Hey! Lookie there! You only need one small purchase of dubs to get over that hurdle and then you'll get most of it back... oh, not quite enough to get over the next hurdle, but hey! One small purchase of dubs will... Edit: At least now you can know what's coming up, so you can do the math and make a single larger purchase (with the "bulk rate" ratios of dubs for the dollar). Now you can clear the bar and know you'll have a bunch of "Extra" dubs left over...

With the bundles in the beginning Don't forget that you actually need to have the amount of doubloons to get the doubloons back. Even though it's technically only 50 to balloons up to the 11th bundle you need to still have over 1,500 doubloons in your account.

I've been playing WOWS for 5-6 years, in the first year or 2 it was ok, I spent some money on a few premium ships. For the last 4 or more years I have not spent a dime, the game didn't warrant it anymore. OP CV's, superships, Subs. All not what I signed up for.........My father and Grand Father were in the navy, so I thought it would have some historic value which it kinda did at first, now it's just stupid. I play this game in the evenings for about 1.5 hours while watching my dogs run in the back field before bed, so I'm not serious about it at all. Most of the time I log off after 1-3 games because it's just stupid.

The House always wins

I have 6 good captains and I only occasionally change their ship. That keeps me happy, which is what the game should be about.

The rewards are randomly placed, but certain rewards are always the same for ALL players: 1.499 dubs for the 10pnt captain and the final reward in last bundle (ship). This is the new tactic of WG luring the playerbase into the random bundles. This is also applicable for the paid Battle Pass (premium version) as the 1st reward will be different for many players. I.e. there were players who got the regular tier 8 US CV in the first slot, whereas many other players got it around stage 11 and the final group of players in the final stage.

Luckiest I've ever been on this game was getting the Rhode Island as the very first bundle. Decent ship so far.

I used a spreadsheet to figure out the "best" way for me to take advantage of these. The WG way. Agree that this is very scummy, glad I don't always fall for the FOMO bull

on the NA the Bundles are diferent, i can get only the 6th pack by -50 Dubs (1th and 2th are Free, 3th are +100 Dub, 4th are 2 Lunar CC for -249 Dub, 5th are Free and the 6th are +100 Dubs), the 7th pack are 3 Lunar CC for -499 Dubs. WG generocity...

I just looked at this and I have to start with spending a 1000 dubs on the first random bundle and there is no way to know/see that you will get things for free or get dubs back.

I used to buy a ton of premiums. I have most of the mid tier premium battleships and several coal ships. Now I just drop a little money on my birthday to use my coupon. I hope the whales are spending their life savings because all the regular players that I know have completely quit paying.

I prefer that new chan rather than random bundle get token to latyer get camo. And hope that one of bundles is big token pack ;[

That is my luck as well, I never buy bundles. I took the free bundles then moved on. If WG were even some what honest I might spend some money. I don't buy economic bonus, or the battle pass, especially after the butcher job on 13.1.

And then there is my luck getting the USS Rhode Island for only $10 because it was the first item in the list out of 46 bundles for me lol. Still...if they are doing these types of bundles, I rather just get the ships outright with doubloons rather then rolling the Raid Shadow Legends dice. Also the US Carrier event was probably the worst event so far in 2024 because as F2P you couldn't even participate in the event....like wow. Long days away from the first irritation of Savage Battles where you could get the tier IX Benham for participating...

I understand that this is all a pretty shady ploy to get people to spend money on the game and this may be an unpopular opinion, but why are so many people so pissed off at a company that is trying to make money? I think the blame squarely rests on the people who spend money on this crap. Just take the free garbage they give you and ignore the rest. I still play this game because I am still having fun in just enough battles to keep me coming back. Hopefully WG makes some good changes to the game to make the pain less frequent, but I know this is unlikely.

You spend money in port, not in battle, that means battles will be shorter (like WoT) and you spend more time in menu screen where you can actually open your wallet. And yes, just buying a ship ain't exiting so slot machines are the big answer.

If im honest, i liked the way they did the bundle. I got a lot for free, why being angry about that. Otherwise there would not even be a chance to that and it would be stupidly expensive from the beginning. Here i got the chance to get some stuff. until a week or so back, i had 3 accounts. WG deleted my main account (57 x t10s with loads of gold and etc etc) and i have no intention of ever playing the other 2 again. i have no idea how you are supposed to play anymore. i played one game yesterday and scored in the top half with damage of 0 and nothing else other than 2 ships spotted and some potential damage. i just pointed forwards and watched everyone run off to the edge - so i got up and walked away. when i came back to the finished game, I had scored 7th out of 12. i looked at some of the others who scored less than me (and most survived the game) and they have 8000-15000 games. i have no clue how anyone can play this many games and not have the basics in their head. Anyone wants to see the screen shots of the scored and info, i did grab them for some reason. WG is blatantly run by idiots, has no care about actual historical value and just does not give a toss about the experience you have playing. i am done with it. BTW........the reason for deleting the account..........passive play! wow! i am only interested in playing one way (the british way) at the front in your face and killing and being killed. yeah i walk from games, but i have sat in spawn and top scored (in a dd) before. i WILL NEVER play the way that they seem to want, so i have deleted everything that they hadnt already. FUCK EM..............and i would encourage you to do the same. i have never paid them anything, so it just a waste of my time...............and it will be the same for you in the end too.
