Back when I was young, I remember old-timers telling my they would seed after a light snow so where you walked and where the seeds landed were easy to see. As for how heavy to broadcast, they said a silver dollar should cover at least 2 seeds, and no more than 3. Has worked very well for me.
What would be even nicer to know is, do you have to mow it? Do you have to apply nutrients to the soil? How long will this last? I did 5 plots this year. First timer here. I thought everything was growing great then someone says...Those are all weeds. WELL SH*T! Some of the stuff grew, but not much. I got some from your company and some from another. The other grew under the weeds and I can tell the plant that is supposed to be there, but we had no clue what the seedlings were supposed to look like either so we didn't know if we needed to spray for weeds. You have great instructional videos, just not enough information IMO for newbies that have never done anything like this. Thanks
Check out imperial whitetail Arrest Max and Imperial whitetail SLAY combined with Sure fire crop oil. These chemicals combined in a backpack sprayer will take out broadleaf weeds and grasses out of any existing food plot. It saved my 2021 hunting season. 10/10👍
I live in southern Il about 30 miles from St Louis . We leave for the winter Jan first and don't get back till Feb 15th . Is it OK to frost seed last week of December. .
