Hi Doctor, How long does a newborn baby will have cold. My daughter is 2 weeks old she is having only congestion but no problem in breathing and swallowing. I have taken to pediatrician he suggested to use saline drops 6 times with bulb syringe. Can we use only nebulizer with only NS? Could you please suggest if I'm I going wrong. Thank you
The nebulizer machine is designed to produce aerosols which will reach the lungs...so until there is a problem with lungs there is no need of using nebulizer...and for A 2 weeks baby I strictly recommend not to use nebulizer And please do continue nasal saline drops Sometimes these colds can continue upto 2 weeks
