When I was in college I honestly didn't know if I wanted children, and told my now-husband as much, and he was afraid to report that to his mother. Things changed a lot after we got married and biological urges kicked in, and maturity as well. I ended up homeschooling my kids, being a stay-at home mom the entire time, loved homemaking and now we have a little homestead where my work is all about the home, yard, animals, garden, etc. It's something I love and wholly promote and hope for for my sons families someday, but I acknowledge it's nothing I was envisioning for my life when I was 21 and getting married. I had no idea I would want this or love it so much. One thing I was certain of was that if I did have children, I would stay home and raise them.

I see ONE problem with Trad wives, and that is DIVORCE. In the event of a divorce (they have a 50 to 70 percent chance of it happening to them) they are left in the streets. They are usually dumped when they are older(in or past middle age)for someone younger. They have no work experience whatsoever and no career. They are basically someone NOBODY wants to hire for a job and they have kids in tow so nobody wants to marry them and raise kids that aren't theirs. What are they supposed to do? Crawl back to their parents? What happens if they have no parents? Is the Church going to step up? I think it is very cruel and misogynistic of men to expect women to be trad wives. I am married but I am no trad wife. In fact I have a career and I own several businesses of my own. I have my own money always have always will.

I want to be a stay at home wife and mother however have really had an issue finding guys with a similar mindset. Oftentimes i’ll meet a guy online, we get along super well and send really long messages, and as soon as he asks about the future and I tell him I want to be a stay at home mum and wife he’s not interested. Sincerely, where can I find a man who wants this lifestyle too? I live on a small island so I’m looking at long distance with a goal to move to the place the man I connect with is at. But it’s so hard…

When i met my husband and we went on our second date i remember speaking to him about...1) if we date it must lead to marriage and we cannot date for a long time 2) i asked him if he was open to homeschooling because that was my hearts desire 3) i told him my life goal was to be a homemaker We have been married almost 16 years and have five children that are homeschooled. I have been able to stay home full time. 💓

Unpopular opinion: you can find a trad wife/ good girl on dating apps. A lot of us are homebodies or introverted/ shy, and don't go out much. This makes it hard for us to meet men. In comes dating apps: the perfect solution for homebodies, lol. I see lots of serious-minded, traditional Christians in their 20s on dating apps like Hinge and Bumble. They put on their profile that they're dating for marriage, they're looking for a wife, etc. But then again I live in a conservative area. Probably not as great a tool if you're in a very liberal area.

My experience of these conservative dating apps, as a man, is that the gender ratio is hugely skewed towards men. I was astonished on a couple dating websites to see that almost every single female profile was attractive, but there were like 4 men for every woman. I had to go overseas to get my wife.

I have recently found your channel! What a treasure. You guys are a perfect balance and I look up to you both as an example of Christian marriage. I’m a converted Christian (even though I grew up Protestant, I soon became atheist at the age of 17). Now I’m in my journey of growing in faith and learning how to be feminine/traditional through God’s grace and mercy and also through channels like yours. So thank you very much! ❤ By my perspective, the same I see guys complaining about not finding trad women, I also feel like men nowadays don’t want or are not prepared to sacrifice/get the priorities right in order to provide for a trad woman and a traditional home. Everything is egalitarian, even among Christians.
@user-mf9yl2pf3v
@user-mf9yl2pf3v 6 месяцев назад
So, so true! I’ve decided to just be very blunt that I’m looking for something complementarian, not egalitarian. You as the woman have to be upfront about this. A lot of men assume you have feminist ideals and throw politically correct word salad at you hoping to impress you in my experience, lol. I’m in my early 20s, and honestly you may have to go for a guy who is a little older to have this kind of dynamic. I like late 20s men. Younger men want you to fend for yourself because that’s what they’re taught + they see you as an equal in function, especially since young women of the same age tend to be more mature. A woman called the Universe Guru on RU-vid explains this phenomenon well. Older men (and non-western men) see you as this feminine woman to shield and take care of and lead. Just what I’ve noticed.

I met my husband in Sunday School when we were 12-13 years old! He ended up seriously backsliding and leaving the church for about 5 years, but we prayed for him, God pursued him, and he repented and gave his heart to the Lord again (the long version of that whole story is waaay more exciting). He felt called to move back to where I lived (not because of me, but because of our church here), and we were able to start a relationship. It took four years of dating/being engaged because of the circumstances he had just come out of, but we were finally married 1 1/2 years ago. It's important for young people not to overlook those in their own church. There are so many single people in the same congregations, it seems, and the thought is often, "Oh, I could never date THAT person!" Or "I know that person too well. It would just be weird." I get that, and sometimes that's valid. I am concerned that we tend to have a lot of excuses for why the available young people are "not good enough" for us (again, sometimes that's true, and I'm NOT saying go date any random guy who has no values or standards). Like you two said, we humans change over time, and in a Christian relationship, we change together. I, too, am not the same woman that I was 5 years ago or even one year ago! I've learned so much from my husband, and we have built a life together with mutual goals and values. It is constantly a work in progress, though, as we learn more and seek God's ways.

@ScottandKelli

We want you to find a good wife. We understand the frustration. We lived it. And so we are throwing every possibility out there. For example there are ways of making money that are uncomfortable or make you feel like a dork. But if someone else did it, they are now a rich dork. If asking mutuals makes you feel like a dork then don't worry about it. But coming from a married dork, its an option that works.

I am going to watch this all the way thru as a feminine women in the US you can literally go into Ulta, Sephora, Hobby Lobby, Michaels craft store and find a feminine and Godly women!! I shouldn’t give this away but they’re hundreds if not thousands! I know because I currently am a makeup artist and domestic goddess and visit these stores on the daily and it’s just seas of women out nesting for taking care of themselves and decorating/ preparing to be homemakers. I DON’T SEE MEN OUT ANYMORE AND IT’S SCARY!! Where are they?! Seriously like I only see men out from Gen X and older. Millennial men have been messed up from all the pandemic nonsense, being robots to tech and the beast system. And ya’ll I live in Dallas, TX! If anyone in the US reading this comment can give any encouragement for where I can be positioned for a Godly man who likes being out and about! 🙏🏻 Also God bless this amazing couple I’m a new subscriber ya’ll are a God sent you have no idea!!

I’m confused about the idea of trad or traditional wives. I want to emphasize that I’m trying to understand in good faith, but as a non-religious person, it’s hard for me to understand how 50% of the population could all be happy in the same role. With men, I think it’s understood that some men do well in business; some in engineering; some in medicine, ect., it’s kind of understood that they are different people with different talents and interests. Why wouldn’t the same be true of women? How could all women be suited for the same thing?

@@brandynash1409 Sure, but regardless, women’s day to day lives still look really similar to one another. “providers” (men) seem to have many options for how to do that, whereas there aren’t many options for how to be a wife and mom. It just seems like it ignores human variation in women-again, speaking from an outside perspective, not knowing this world.

I was waitressing when I met my husband! He along with several other guys he worked with came in for breakfast almost daily. They were truck drivers and were often obnoxious. Because they came in as a group there were limited areas for them to all sit together and my regular space had one of those areas. After several days of dealing with their chaos, I told them they couldn’t sit in my area anymore. After a couple of days my now husband (42 years) and one of the other guys came to me and asked if they ‘behaved’ could the two of them sit in my area. Lol, the rest is history and in the end, they all realized how obnoxious they were and started acting like gentlemen and ended up back in my area. Most of that group were at our wedding and a couple of them were part of the wedding party. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Ehhh, I get what Kelli is saying at the 11:45 mark, but guys cannot assume a woman wants to be approached in today's climate. There are countless Tiktoks that have gone viral of women declaring the opposite is true -- they don't want to be approached in stores, in parking lots, at gas stations, while shopping, at a restaurant -- I even asked a woman about this recently, and she said she didn't want to be approached by guys at the bar unless she gives them the vibe that she's approachable, which was befuddling to me, because I then asked, where men should approach women? And she said it wasn't abbut where, but when, and men need to better gauge timing. Also, as many guys know, approaching a woman can be detrimental, like the gymbros found out as they were labeled as creepy/stalkers/etc., when filmed and posted on social media just for even glancing at a woman. So men have to be VERY careful when approaching women in today's climate.
@RighteousCenturion
@RighteousCenturion Месяц назад
Nahh, can’t let other people stop you from doing what you want. It’s not illegal. If I see a beautiful woman and want to talk to her, then I’ll always approach regardless of the time and place. I give her my number, if she’s feeling me she’ll text me, if not then she won’t . Who cares what other people think or say or what the “climate” is. Don’t live your life based on how other people might view you or what society deems as normal because you could miss out on an incredible woman! And incredible opportunities!

@@j.p.5716 I’m in the USA and I know many many many people raising large families in a traditional way. We are not Mennonite. We may not be the loud ones, so it’s hard to see us. But, we are still out here raising our sons to be good husbands and fathers and our daughters to be good wives and mothers. And we are praying for our future children’s spouses. There are young adults who are waiting and praying for their future spouses too. And, sometimes the best lessons are learned the hard way. Just because one isn’t raised this way doesn’t mean the Father can’t change their hearts and create something really special. I wasn’t raised this way at all. My dad was a hard man, didn’t have a son, and I’m the oldest. He raised me to be a strong independent “man” to never need a man. Public school raised too. The Almighty showed me the right way because I asked and He didn’t give me a stone, He gave me bread. It took a lot of milk to choke down that bread, but now I can make a good brisket sandwich out of that bread. I’m thankful for that upbringing though. I had a long road in my heart being changed, and because I lived it, I know both sides of it. And my heart knows what is right. I don’t take it for grated. And I think I learned that lesson more than my children, who just grew up this way.

I'm sure you mean well, but your advice on girls who are wavering on careers--vs--stay-at-home is not helpful. On the one hand you say that a guy isn't going to find a finished product, a take-home ready trad wife, that men should be realistic, but then you give guys reasons/excuses to dismiss a girl. Yes, there are the obvious "blue-haired, cat lady" vibes from some females who are lost causes, I get that, but there are a lot of women who are trapped between worlds, who just need a push in the right direction. There are a lot of women out there, myself included, who needed a man who was able to show that THEY were marriage material, that THEY could provide the leadership in a marriage so that we could find that place to feel comfortable with traditional feminism. You know that saying "waiting to exhale?" I think a lot of women feel that way, that we constantly need to be girl boss, constantly need to compete with the world, take care of everything ourselves. Men need to get their s*** together and give us a reason to restore our femininity, to let us exhale and allow us to be who we were designed to be. Thankfully my husband was a lot more understanding and forgiving of my upbringing. I am a stay-at-home wife of nearly 8 years. I stopped working once we got married, but I was raised by a father who believed that women who stayed at home were "using" their husbands. Yeah, and he's not the only man I've ever heard express that sentiment about stay-at-home wives. I am one of those politically conservative women and was raised by liberal atheists BTW. My husband has helped me in the faith journey too. If men want a trad wife, they first need to be trad men, not fake beta males masquerading as alphas either, so that they can help guide their family and society by extension back to a better place. So much of what we women have come across in the dating world is betas. If you read this, nothing personal. Again, I'm sure you mean well, but I see a lot of trad channels doing the opposite of what they intend. I actually came here about freezing milk and thought I'd check out a few other videos before I subbed.
